Got an orphan that needs an owner. League has some TMB guys in it and would like to get someone else from here. The team needs work but it has some young pieces and picks. Not too bad. 12 team SF, PPR. Has Burrow. $25 dues
Strong no. Edit: Reread the post. If you’re trying to give up two seconds to acquire Richardson then do that all day imo.
Drafting right now in a FFPC superflex best ball dynasty. Have the 9th pick and was able to get Burrow and Garrett Wilson.
Trying to decide my 1 keeper, 200 budget. Achane for $15, AJ Brown for $44, Jamar Chase for $58 Leaning Achane. What are people expecting from him this year? Boom or bust?
Taking over a team in a friend's league, will have 2nd pick and can keep three of these (keeper cost in the right column, 14th round cost is because the players were picked up on waivers at some point in the season). I'm leaning Kyren, Dell and McBride but also thinking about Cook
Yeah I think you're right, I need to get closer to draft time and see what the outlook for Tank will be, but I'll definitely keep McBride and Kyren
How was his health in college? Only thing that’s holding me back from drafting him in my 200$ auction league
Also speaking of that league, it .5 ppc(which is fucking stupid) and ppr, so who’s the best high volume rbs to target that stay healthy? High end rbs in this league go for 60+. Also makes running qbs very valuable as well
Guys I want so far if they don’t get hurt Qbs who I think have value for lower prices Richardson Daniels Levis Deshaun RBs I like Zeke Zamir white Alvin Rachaad Warren Ekeler Corum Wrs Waddle Garret Wilson Scary terry Christian Kirk Watson Drake London Pittman Jr Thielen Dell Pickens Brian Thomas Dotson
I'm not sold on Deshaun. I think Warren will be great, Corum will probably come on in the later part of the season. Wilson, Kirk, London and Dell are all guys I'm in on too. Pitts and Kincaid should be great, I usually look for someone farther down the list at TE.
I think if you’re drafting based on injury risk/health issues (aside from current/known problems like Nick Chubb, Jk Dobbins, etc) you’re going to miss out on awesome players. Injuries are so hard to predict and are already baked into the player’s cost.
You still looking for an owner for this team? A buddy and I talked about co-managing an orphan recently and I think the team we were gonna take over is no longer avail.
I generally just look to see if it’s consistent injuries/ stuff like that. Half of the time my teams hits is because of the chances I’ve taken on injured guys
Depending on the league, I still think Purdy can be had for "value" but I might be higher on him than others. I think he'll go in the 4ht or 5th round. I think people will be down on Herbert but he's going to be better so I like him as a value pick too. I would take Stafford in the 6th or 7th in a heartbeat but I'm guessing he will be too buzzy for that.
it feels a bit early to talk about keepers but a leaguemate of mine just sent me his keepers to lock in last night so i think i need to start preparing we are allowed up to 4 keepers but the cost of them is the slot in which they were drafted the prior season (or kept). superflex 12-team league, my keeper options are: - Josh Allen (1st rounder; would be a second rounder if I keep Herbert) - Justin Herbert (1st rounder) - Bijan Robinson (1st rounder, would be a second or third rounder depending on who's kept between Allen/Herbert) - Ja'Marr Chase (3rd rounder) - James Cook (4th rounder) - Amon Ra St. Brown (6th rounder) - Sam LaPorta (17th rounder) - Puka Nacua (16th rounder) my team was stacked last year and i lost in the title game i think i'm leaning towards Allen (1st), Bijan (pushed to 2nd), Amon Ra (6th), and LaPorta (17th) but it would be really brutal to put Chase back in the pool and being unable to take advantage of Puka's cheap pick. i'm sort of going back and forth on nacua or laporta because this feels like a really strong TE year. I have the second overall pick and we snake draft from there so my 3rd round pick (if i keep a 1st and 2nd round guys) would be pretty early so maybe could snag Herbert or Chase or a top player because I assume at least half of the 1st/2nd round picks will be forfeited for keepers. what would y'all do?
What fun ways did you decide your draft order? I need ideas. Last year we chipped into a target. Closest got to pick their draft spot, so on, etc. We did an actual Wonderlic test. Throwing football through targets set up…
Just want to say I’m team zero QB unless you get someone in your lap way bellow ADP. Usually have success looking at schedules and finding 2 guys that can rotate and a third high upside guy. Will report back when I determine who the selections are this year.
We’ll usually do something with the Open, Fed Ex Cup, or another PGA tournament this time of year since guys in my home league are spread out. Pick golfers in the reverse order of last years playoff results, order of their finish is the order we then use to select the draft position you want. Some years we’ve just done the order of their finish is the draft order, which makes for a fun Sunday of tracking puts for guys in like 40th place.
Received the #5 pick in my big money league . 1 pt PPR I am shocked Breece Hall and Bijan are top 5 projected picks. I would be terrified to take either there
Everything I've read about the Jets is that they have really beefed up their o-line, and that Hall should have more running room with a credible passing threat at QB, less stacked boxes. I have the #2 pick in one of my leagues so I may take him there. Bijan should go off this season too, considering he has the Arthur Smith-shaped albatross off his neck.
i want to believe but i drafted breece last year and was burned bad and obviously we saw how little bijan was utilized
Most rankings don’t compensate for the player’s starting QB to go out injured the first few plays of a season, or an organization/coach drafting a them top ten and then splitting their carries. Both showed immense talent despite bad situations and have no more question marks than any other player in the first round. They also probably aren’t top 5 in a ppr format, very close though.
how did Breece burn you? first half of the season? I picked him up on a trade before the deadline and he was a major reason I won my league. I definitely felt the week to week rage with Bijan though, 100%. So glad Smith is gone from there, I doubt Bijan will fall to me in either league but it will be nice to see him blossom now that he's out from under that ridiculous scheme
looking back at my trades last season, i made two in total. One was to get Breece, traded away Pollard and Nico. The other was to get Pacheco, I traded away Aiyuk. With Bijan getting Smith'd and Pollard a shadow of his 2022 self, I had to do something at RB. , fortunately I had good WR depth and I had Ceedee and AJ Brown as my WR1/WR2, which covered up a lot of problems. This is the first year of a new keeper cycle in one of my leagues, have 12th pick, think I'm going to have to go RB/RB and then hit WR hard in the next 4 rounds. Unless something crazy happens and an elite WR falls to me at 12, RB depth is way worse than WR depth so I gotta take them early.
Yeah first half of the year big time. He was my RB1 and Rhamondre Stevenson was my RB2 so i was hurting at that position.
ouch yeah i get that. I looked back at his totals, the last half of the year his worst game was my bye week in the first round of the playoffs, so he was straight MVP for me all the way through the champ game. Had him and Pacheco to help carry me through the playoffs, was nice with them and Ceedee even when AJ Brown started to fall off a bit. I don't expect to have nearly that kind of combo of injury luck and good production this year.
First best ball of the year complete on DK. Had the 9th pick and missed my 2nd rounder cause I had a few drinks in me that night. Would have rather picked Davante, Evans or Waddle over Collins at that spot. Stupid auto draft Spoiler
Yeah he's a great dart throw for where he's going. If he's healthy and can still be productive he could outproduce his draft position. Chase Brown seems to be becoming too en vogue on fantasy Twitter, so I think by the time my home redraft league drafts the day after Labor Day his ADP will be too high...but he's very intriguing as well. I like Charbonnet, Blake Corum, Rico Dowdle, Zeke, Tyler Algeier, Ty Chandler, and Tyjae Spears as well in terms of guys outside of the top 100.
