Vandy is playing better right now than Alabama, no question about that. I have no idea how they lost to Georgia State with how they've looked since then.
"I understand the concept of Power Rankings. Thank you." "I guess it's my turn to flippantly ask if you know what Power Rankings are?"
If I misinterpreted your response suggesting I think head to head was the only thing that's important as snark, then I apologize.
I'm an idiot and make mistakes all the time so I'll just preemptively and retroactively apologize for all I've done and all I will do.
because the venues pays double what the schools would otherwise make on campus, and the new revenue-sharing cfb model incentivizes money above all else.
The Athens thread is locked, so I have to post my new prized possession here. Bestowed upon me by the man himself as a token of appreciation and love. #Georgia Bulldogs
Go easy on us this weekend, cocks. We're having a fun little season and I wanna see where it takes us
I’ve got a very dumb question - why are neutral site games so much more lucrative for all involved? Luxury boxes? Ability to charge way more for tickets? Something about the tv revenues? Seems crazy that it’s such a big difference.
Yea probably all-of-the-above. Displays the inefficiencies a University has in monetizing a big event. GaTech got just as much from hosting Notre Dame as the combined UGA/UF payout. Same with GaTech moving their 2025 UGA game to MBS. Ticket Revenue, Alcohol Revenue, Premium Seat Rentals, Parking Revenue ...on top of the sunk cost of operating an NFL Stadium's daily utilities (outside of the 8 NFL games per year). No clue impact on PSLs but probably some angle there too.
I hope all our assistant coaches’ stripper wives have their monkeys properly contained this Halloween.
Arkansas is going to beat Ole Miss. South Carolina is going to beat A&M. Vandy is going to beat Auburn although that one isn't an upset. Kentucky is going to come damn close to beating UT
SCar always pulls a wild upset out of their ass during a home night game at least once a year, but our offense is objectively terrible, doesn’t have enough talent to be great even if they did pull their head out of their asses, and our upsets usually come when absolutely no one expects it. Looking at the betting lines, comments in this thread, and general fan optimism for a good game, I don’t think this is one of those games we pull out of our ass
Yeah this one of those games that I feel A&M scores first possession, we go 3 and out. They score again (probably on a big play). We go 3 and out again and the crowd is taken out of it before the 1st quarter is over.
Not at all. They’re as good as LSU. Their defense is better than LSU’s offense, and their offense isn’t as bad as LSU’s defense. That wouldn’t have been a crazy upset.
