    Been trying to get a hold of my food intake, but it's been a struggle. Been lifting again for 6 weeks and seeing gains there. Maybe typing this out will help me change. Late night snacking (stress I guess) has not helped.

    Can't avoid a few slices of pizza or handfuls of cheezits when I get them for the kids.

    278. Just been diet for me mostly so far. After my pec was finally back to 100% I was gifted back to back covid-cold because elementary school kids are disgusting. Been weights/walking/stairs so I’m expecting some better numbers soon.

    Been at 2200 cals for the duration. Feel like I'm getting a little weaker in some of my lifts, which is expected if I'm losing 3lbs a week. Been a little higher these last two so gonna bump my calories up a smidge to 2300. Keep walking 12k-15k step, see if I can maintain 3lbs a week. Don't mind losing 3.5 a week over the last month, but ideally trying to sacrifice as little muscle along the way

    6 Weeks until my birthday and want to be at most 199.9999999.

    GLPs work. I haven't had a "bad" day or week since Jan 1 when I started to get focused. I was on it in Nov/Dec and even though I was still bing eating and drinking I had a ton of control and actually maintained weight at a fat level vs probably gaining 10-20lbs over that course.

    I’m not doing this but hit 25lbs today so gonna post my shit anyway. It’s extreme but it’s nothing fancy. 10000 steps. 1000-1200 calories. I don’t have room for bad meals or cheat days. Cottage cheese and greek yogurt have become staples. I’m also off alcohol.

    I was 211.8 on Saturday, so a bit annoying fluctuation up on official weigh in day. Still over 2lbs, but not the 3 I was hoping for. My body might be burning less calorie as I'm dropping weight, so it is a little bit expected. Doctor also upped my TRT to 150mg from 100. Not sure if that had anything to do with it, take them on Thursdays. Or just immflamuation/water retention/etc

    Future In-laws were in town so had to go out to eat this weekend, then my fiancé made bread and cookies which didn’t mesh well with me trying to see if I could eat a gummy and nothing else (I didn’t). Was down to 225ish mid week so hoping I can de-bloat pretty quickly after the weekend.

    We are going to a resort for a week at end of April, so might hinder my results towards the end of the contest but hoping it gives me some added motivation to stay on track.

    And one day latter I'm 210.8. Disappointed about only 2.2 lost in 7 days but 24hr laters it is 4lbs in 8 days.

    Weigh yourself everyday. Trust the processes it's not linear.

    almost down 20lbs

    really am losing the craving for really bad food. I do still enjoy/want pizza or a cheat meal every now and then; but getting used to avoiding those things.
    have cut IPAs out, think that's been a big help.
    No longer feel bloated and swollen.

    If I had some self motivation, I'd actually peloton every day and do even better on eating; but I don't. Usually ride twice a week.

    Down to 184 from 208. Original goal was 175 but the diet really still isn't killing me and endurance in cardio is going up so I think I can just keep it going. Been doing this 30 minute light dumbbell workout 3x a week and it wrecks me.

    Down 30. I increased my calorie intake to 1500 this week because I started to feel a little weak and sleepy for the first time, that helped. I did have 5 beers to celebrate my Irish heritage and it got me nice and buzzed after not drinking for so long. I logged them in my fitness tracker under dinner which I found funny. Now comes the gauntlet. March madness parties at work today noon to 5 then tomorrow with friends noon to late then all weekend at home. Followed by a cruise in 13 days. I need your strength.

    Upping my calories this week to 2400. Getting lean(ish) and don't think I'll have much more (if any) to lose once I hit my end of 4/27 goal of 195. Maybe 190 for my next trip to the Caribbean with my fam in Jun. The hardest part is coming....keeping it off. :ohdear:

    Been watching a bunch of motivational shit on on weight loss and one key thing I've tried to incorporate in the last 15 months that has helped. Looking at working out/exercise like hygiene. You're not going to stop showing for a week, but if you don't for a day it isn't the end of the world. Don't let a small blip completely fuck you. I used to look at the days of the week being workout specific and if I missed one or two it would fuck of my week. Now I just shift it and if I miss a day and Monday was a push day, I just do my push day on Tuesday and let the rest flow.

    One thing I'm going to try to incorporate is that process that you took to lose 60lb is no different than the process you need to do to maintain. Simple and dumb, but I've lost 40-60lbs countless times, then stop being as active/cooking/tracking calories/etc and it comes back. Really going to try to focus on staying consistent and doing what I'm doing now with another 1,000 clean calories. Maybe 80/20 and sprinkle in a dinner out with the fam where I'm not restricting to chicken/fish that is always grilled and not eating all the bun.

    I like that way of thinking for working out, I know for me it’s easy to get mad at myself when I miss a couple days and then just kind of say screw it which isn’t ideal. I’m thinking about re-starting my peloton subscription and at least having the approach that “somethings better than nothing”…so even if I’m not feeling it, maybe just walk downstairs and ride for 20 minutes while watching TV.

    I started a new SSRI about 2 weeks ago, and it’s seemed to mess with my eating a little more than I thought so I’m hoping I can re-focus this week and want to start mixing in some exercise to hopefully burn off some added calories if this medicine makes me snacky as the last one I took.

    If you want to weigh every day but don’t want to be discouraged, a handy trick I have found is to compare to the same day a week ago. I follow the same weekly patterns more or less and it helps me to see the progress weekly vs bummers daily.

    This is exactly what I do. I know I’ll usually gain some over weekends, so I compare Monday to Monday, then usually do the same on Thurs/Friday once a lot of the water weight goes away. Definitely helps to do it this way and feels like there’s less surprises. In some cases I’m actually pleasantly surprised where I was.
