The developers said that they are actually leaving the playside DE unblocked this year so you will have to make a read off of the DE on whether to give the ball to the RB or keep it and take outside with the QB.
Cza, you may want to check out this link: it is all about the spread offense and goes into detail about the changes they have made to the spread offense. http://ncaafootball.easports.com/blog.action?blogId=SpreadOffense
Sounds like EA finally fixed the retarded CPU recruiting that used to happen in dynasty mode. http://ncaafootball.easports.com/blog.action?blogId=Dynasty%20Blog%203%20of%203:%20Recruiting%20Logic%20and%20Extras
Demo on 6/14. Features 8 teams, OSU-Miami, Clemson-Mizzou, FSU-UF, and two more will be announced tomorrow. Im getting pretty hyped.
Z, yeah I know about the rosters. Just need to make sure we hit the ground rolling, and not searching for players, etc, etc, and make sure everyone stays active this year, and no whining or complaining(LBD). LOL. Got to get it started early.
DBL, whats the initial squad looking like? DBL, VT, Z, Jheat, Jheats bro... Lucky, nosaints, lewd, they still around? I have a feeling they will be back around release time.
I'm rocking the VT Nike combats only once a season. Biggest game of the year will bring them out. Who is it going to be.................
We are going to have to figure out what conference to put you in. We usually use Big 12, ACC, SEC. I'm prefer using two conference so we have more user games but DBL is the commish and he will have to decide that.
He told me it'd be no big deal if I used 'em. Someone else is Michigan too so that's another conference. It won't be hard to alter them.
nosaints replied to my text a couple weeks ago saying he was in. Never heard back from Lucky or Lewd, so not sure on them. So yea... dbl - bama z - fsu jheat - OSU bheat - OU, I assume vt - vt nosaints - LSU cza - Michigan bigd - Florida gonoles - Texas rv12 - Oregon That's everyone I got a reply from and adding rv12. That's 10, so we could add 2 more if someone we feel is worthy comes up. I'd rather roll with 10 in 2 conferences than add 2 more iffy guys and make 3 conferences and then have those 2 fall out after 2 weeks and leave us screwed.
Might just roll with SEC and ACC and have 5 in each. Maybe put all 5 on one side of the conference? CCG would be worthless bc it'd be against the cpu, though. Thoughts on how to do it with 10 teams?
Find out if Nole is getting the game. He was a good player last year and played all his games before his PS3 shit the bed on him (pretty sure he got a new one). It really shouldnt be that hard to find 1-2 quality guys.
DBL, I would go with 4 conf, and put everyone on the same side(3 each). If you put 5 on one side it will hurt bowl games standing, and give some losers ab unch of losses. If they quit then the OD is kind of screwed because it will be hard to add teams/ new users. With 4 conf, 3 on each side, we can add/remove users more easily, and better schedule OOC games. With 2 conf, it practically eliminates OOc games, and you play the same schedule every year.
I know you don't like many use games, but most other do. We need to have 5-6 user games a year. Even if you go 2-4, you go 8-4 and still have a mid level bowl. That's not terrible. Having 3 user games is pointless. Might as well just play the cpu offline.
Yea, he's Ohio State. He's been them for 3 years now, and he hasn't cheesed with Pryor at all. I don't know you well enough to trust you with a fast QB.
Ok. I was actually just wanting them because their defense is nasty. Been playing the 360 demo this morning.
That's cool. But yea, can't take them from him. Only reason I'm pissed about Bama not being in demo is bc I can't see their ratings. Offense had better be ridiculous, but 8 new starters on defense leaves them a question. Should be really good, bc we have tons of talent from the 08 and 09 #1 classes starting to play now, but knowing EA, they'll fuck it up.
No, I understand. I just wasn't sure which OSU as there were several Big 12 schools taken. Just figured I'd check. I'd assume Bama to be highly ranked. You're going to be able to run the ball whenever you want, wherever you want. I'm curious to see how Oregon is going to be. Really know nothing about them, just figure they'll be a fun team to play with.
Yea, the people playing the demo saying running game is better was encouraging. Last year I threw 50 times a game with Bama lol. And yea, Oregon should be fun. USC is open, too. No probation on the game.
I want to know what setting these bitches are playing the demo on. If they are playing it on varsity and not Heisman then whatever they say is pointless. And I promise you, DBL will still throw the ball 50 times a game unless he is averaging 10 ypc with the running game.
PS3? What team would you want? Nebraska? Lucky used to have Nebraska in our league, but I haven't heard from him.
Mad. Na, seriously, I'll run more this year. Ingram was shit last year, like an 86 overall or some shit. Him and Trent will be this year. They better be, at least. Ingram better be 98+ and Trent a 95+. I'm editting them if they aren't.
Im not saying your not a good player. But you simply dont have the patience to grind out a game. Like I said unless you are averaging 9-10 YPC you will be throwing the ball all over the field. On your bama, Julio has a MUCH better chance of winning a heisman than Ingram.
Doesn't matter to me. If you want to do a 2 league with SEC ACC or whatever I can take someone that isn't already taken. Or do they have where you can rotate the teams out again? If so and if Lucky isn't playing I will take Nebraska. If he is playing and there is still room, I will figure out who I want to be in a little while.
DBL, I like 5-6 user games. I don;t like the same 5-6 user games every year though. It gets boring and stagnant after about two years. I like a rotating schedule where we play different users yearly. With two conferences, we have no OOC games against the other conf. With 4 conf of 3 users, we can still play conf games, recruit better and schedule 3-4 OOC user games. Makes for better matchups, and keeps interest. The OD also moves faster. With two conf, we get stuck waiting on some slow poke before we advance. Then 1 or 2 quit, and its no way to rebalance the league. In one OD I was in we did a complete year in 2 weeks regularly, as users were active, and kept up.
I still think the best setup is 4 users in 3 different leagues. This allows for good competition to develop in who is going to win the Conference title between the 4 user teams, and then you can play 2-4 OOC user games depending on how many conference users you get matched up with. Also this way by spreading the teams out over 3 conferences, if someone quits then it shouldnt be nearly as hard to find a replacement because the team should be no worse than 4 in the conference. VT you gonna stick around for a decent amount of time this year. Last year it seemed liked you peaced out on us pretty early, didnt you only play 2 years of the OD?
Z, Thats why I wouldn't add a SMU to the teams. To be honest if we go with 3 conf, we should add other power teams in the conf, just in case someone leaves. It will be hard to replace a user when a Michigan, SMU, or Oregon State gets blasted early on. Whow wants those schools. If we do 3 with 4 I say. BIG 12 OSU OK Michigan Nebraska/oregon(Lucky or new guy) ACC FSU VTech Texas SEC Bama LSU FL This gives use 2-3 user games a year, and 2-3 OOC games. Then we keep the conf alignments somewhat. WE just have to find one user for SEC, and ACC which should be easy.
Why the hell would we move texas to the ACC. I say it should be as follows. Big XII North: Oregon Nebraska South: OU UT SEC East: UF Need another User to fill a spot here. Could be any team. (or OSU can go here) West: Bama LSU ACC: Atlantic: FSU Need another user to fill a spot here. Could be any team. (or OSU can go here) Coastal: VT Need anotehr user to fill a spot here. Could be any team. (or OSU can go here) Jheat I know you trying to fix the conferences so you can dodge VT and DBL and Me from being in your conference but that simply makes no sense. And this way you have the choice of who you want to play.
I just sucked at running last year lol. I also like my chances of hitting 1 of 3 10+ yard passes rather than having to hit 3 four yard runs in a row. Teams don't wear down like they do in real life, so a huge part of the advantage of having a power running game is gone.
haha. Bring it. We do have 1 or 2 spots open, though. Really really active league. 3rd year together for most of the league.
Sounds good. Yea, we'll edit the conferences, so all teams will be available. Probably use SEC and ACC. Like I said, I haven't heard from Lucky, so NU might be available.
