Its ridiculous, its like one per match and also they look terrible. Only a few guys make those dives look good and it only works when they smash the guy into the barricade.
Big E has nearly killed himself a few times on them. There's absolutely no reason a big dude like him or McIntyre should be doing that move.
Big E doesn't do a suicide dive, he does something even more dangerous which is spears a guy off of the apron. You're right, he's come very close to hurting himself badly doing that move. I think he's stopped doing it.
Most guys just jump and and mush people on the way down. I do think luchadores pretty uniformly make the move look good. That’s just so many of them gather a frightening amount of speed running the ropes then launch themselves head first like a human torepedo.
The athleticism of today’s athletes in wrestling is pretty amazing. It’s probably why moves like the dive are played out. Everyone can do one even the guys who are massive. it’s why 205 live really never took off. Nothing makes them different than say a Seth Rollins, Andrade, Ambrose, Roman, KO, Zayn.
Suicide dives should only go over the top rope. The between-ropes stuff just doesn't look good at all since they have to go slow to make sure they can get through the ropes cleanly.
Yea maybe just the lower angle helps it be a shoulder tackle. But the guy has to go more headfirst like that and not lift his head so that it looks like a "push: when contact is made. At least this one looks like a missile tackle.
Someone later on in the night, think it was during the Mox/Pac vs Kenny/Hangman match had a great dive where they just drove the guy on the floor into the barricade

Why did the ref not count that pin until the 2nd person joined the pin to add leverage, then why did she count it when 2 guys were involved in the pin instead of kicking one out of ring?
Announcers confused as fuck about whose legal again. The spots are great, but they need to either just go ecw and get rid of tag rules or follow them at least somewhat. So distracting
