Just wait until Clemson waxes A&M tonight and he'll go an his little yearly racist rampage and get banned for a bit
Would assume they'll argue his actions don't pass the "conduct detrimental" thing that would allow the fine and the guaranteed money to be thrown out. No clue if they can actually win that, and I would hope for the Raiders' sake there is reason for them to be damn near 100% sure they can't lose this battle. Brown winning that appeal and the Raiders suddenly getting $30M in dead cap money thrown on them would be a hilarious next outcome in this story, though.
i posted about this yesterday but all players should hope that he wins his grievance. what exactly is conduct that's detrimental to the team? the entire saga in the last few days related to the rumored suspension, the second set of fines, etc. seemed like a way to get out of the guaranteed money. what if the Vikings want to get out of Kirk Cousins' awful contract? can they say Cousins arguing with a coach or player (which surely has happened at some point) or being late to a meeting (again, likely to have happened) is detrimental conduct and therefore cut him? idk exactly what his contract looks like but i'm guessing a lot of players have a "money guaranteed as of" contract and it seems exploitable in the sense that the team has the power to unilaterally decide whether you're active then. in AB's case, they gave him a contract just a couple of months ago.
Meanwhile, the best receiver in the league is just keeping his head down and outworking everyone else and being appreciated for it.
Yeah, I’d imagine taping telephone conversations with the HC and releasing them to the public might pass for conduct detrimental to the team
He's pretty much the exact opposite of a primadonna. Always has been. Just an absolute beast and quiet as fuck about it.
He’s going to struggle to get much guaranteed beyond this season. I would imagine basically everyone is going to try and put him on a one year prove it deal.
He was in an outdoor cryotherapy unit....like the ones Bama has. Refused to wear socks too. Weekend going alright?
Why do people think AB is just going to admit he was wrong and take a small check? He won't sign for peanuts for a ring, he doesn't care about that. He wants guaranteed money.
Yep, other than Indy (if they are one), contenders don't have cap space, and you would think most are too smart to offer anything longer. His best bet is a desperate, bad team.
There are 13 teams with more than $15 mill in cap space. Browns make a lot of sense. Would be a terrifying WR corps and he can play the Steelers.
Radio guys this morning were all about he doesn't really want to play and has talked about retirement over the last year Said Patriots take good players from crappy organizations. Not good players from good organizations the inference was Pitt is a good organization so Pat's won't take him
I don’t understand all this New England talk. Belichick takes chances on guys with checkered pasts but not out of control dudes showing clear signs of CTE.
