I, for one, adore A&M for vacuuming up a ton of talent and churning it into a beautiful heap of shit. Thanks for leveling out the playing field for everyone else.

I know Texas AM is known to shit the bed, however Harsin left behind a huge mess to clean up. One of his recruiting classes only has a single player left from it. If you want to call it a recruiting class since he didn't actually go out and recruit anyone himself.

I think winning on the road is gonna be a major issue for us this year.

 

Pretty sure it’s one player from both classes combined

 

I’d love to hear a bit more from the Auburn fans as I don’t have a good feel at all for your team.

For A&M this year it’s another cycle of dogshit linebacker play and awful secondary tackling. Couple this with Durkin constantly rushing 3 and dropping our best pass rushers into coverage and it’s a recipe for disaster.

Offensively if one of A&M’s 3 RBs could become an above average conference USA level player this team will at least be able to keep up on the scoreboard with most. OL still sucks and is really struggling with simple blitz schemes. Luckily Conner seems to have taken a massive leap this year and has been crazy good so far.

 

I think we kind of match up strength vs strength and weakness vs weakness in a lot of areas.

Aggies Offense vs Barn Defense

• seems to be worlds better than last year, especially the passing game. Y'all were garbage last year. Can now score. Our team strength is our secondary. We have 2 really good DBs and 1 converted CB->S that is really solid. Been pretty opportunistic and picking off QBs. So that is some strength vs strength. Stewart is a beast and will be interesting to see how we limit him
• We're avg against the run -- y'all don't run much
• We seem to be really blitz and DL stunt heavy. If your OL sucks, that could be a win for Auburn putting a lot of pressure on Weigman

Auburn Offense vs A&M Defense

• Right now it's a pretty big work in progress for us.
• We have fumbling issues with the RBs, sometimes suck at running the ball...but lead the SEC in rushing. OL is okay-ish. Some solid guys and others still missing assignments.
• Pass protection has been pretty decent and Thorne is good at avoiding rushers. If you're rushing 3 might give him a decent bit of time.
• Thorne has been hit or miss passing. Makes huge mental mistakes at times (misses obvious passes), but is relatively accurate and throws a good deep ball. WRs have been hit or miss
• From the first 3 games we're kinda feeling out a billion new parts on offense that came post spring. Lots of inconsistency/guys on different pages/wrs running into each other on crossing/rub routes

IDK how we'll look. You should have an immense talent gap...but Jimbo is also a disaster and shits the bed often. Vegas has been pretty spot on with our lines so far. Cliche, but we need to have an extra turnover or two and then I think we've got a chance to win. If not we probably lose like 33-20 or something.
