this has more to do with donating to charity than getting JJ Watt on PMT, but donating to a company/fund that serves as a middleman is such a joke. the charity gets the full cut otherwise, and the company can later write off the amount they received.

So for tax purposes, GoFundMe Corp. gets the whole write off and your "donation" to GoFundMe isn't tax deductible?

When I first logged on to the internet this morning, someone had created a go find me that looked exactly like the PMT one. Some serious grind, there.

 

I have never given money to GoFundMe, thus never looked but when you go to a place like Walgreens and they ask if you want to donate a dollar to a cause - Walgreens is the one who makes the donation and they get to deduct that dollar - depending if they wet their beaks on top of that and keep a percentage for admin costs.
