the argument (from what I understand) and I don’t understand the science and I could be mistaken is that a trans man can have a child. If he can and isn’t a woman therefore saying only women can have children is wrong. edit also not all women can have children so that is another issue and why some argue “birthing person” should be used.
Yeah it's just meant to be inclusive of Trans-Men/Non-Binary that can still get pregnant. I'd bet large amounts of money that 99% of hospitals do not use language like this right now.
