He said that Biden lied to immigrants about them being resettled, and he did. If Biden's horseshit immigration policy is a hill you want to die on, then be my stupid guest.
he said because “joe Biden said they would be resettled instead of returned he is driving young kids into the arms of smugglers”. That’s what he sees as cruelty, I don’t think that’s what is happening. That is a right wing talking point. I don’t think it’s a good point. I am not arguing for Biden’s immigration policy. You didn’t watch the fucking clip and are just spouting bullshit.
Get fucked you stupid POS. Instead of being an idiot you could fucking watch a 20 second clip. He not once said Biden lied. He said “Biden came into office saying there was an open door policy that they’d be resettled and not returned. [because of that] he is driving kids into the arms of smugglers.” So please watch the fucking clip you stupid pos. He doesn’t once use the word lied. Not fucking once. I fucking don’t know why I engage a fucking stupid asshole like you. “
Imagine being so fucking stupid you argue Stephen Miller made a good point and not watching a 20 second clip to realize he isn’t making the point you’re arguing he made. Miller (in that clip) is arguing that Biden saying kids will not be returned but resettled is driving them to human traffickers and that policy is cruel. That’s a Q and right wing talking point.
Fucking things don't have genitals. Of course this gun humping trailer trash can't see the irony in the situation. Take one potato that you used to call Mr., swap out some parts from the one you used to call Mrs. and whammo blammo they've both switched genders.
The current parliamentarian is Elizabeth MacDonough, who has held the office since 2012, and was appointed by then Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.[2] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parliamentarian_of_the_United_States_Senate
By Harris Her decision is also based on the Senate rules, which also can be changed via simple majority
Would be nice of Joe, who everyone thinks is doing this super bang-up job, to use his Bully Pulpit to humiliate Manchin and Sinema if they go against this. They'll probably say they want the $15 minimum wage in a clean bill which they will have even less reason to vote for.
Sinema and Manchin will give the GOP a cakewalk to retaking the House and Senate in 2022, it really seems it's well past time for the rest of the party to squeeze them out. Give up on WV and target NC or some other state and throw all that DSCC money behind Sinema's primary opponent. Imagine McConnell not getting the votes to pass shit in a 50/50 split Senate.
think the calculus on that is poor, making enemies of the two people you need to play ball for all kinds of shit would be very bad and allow them to just derail your entire presidency if they felt you crossed a line especially since they're still going to pass enormously good things like child tax credit, city/state funding, etc understand the reflex though, I'd be all for the bully pulpit shaming for the democratic reforms as without those we're all fucked
would you rather get like, 70% of what you want with them, or potentially 0% if you push them out and fail on building the margin elsewhere? like obviously they need to win more senate seats, but with a 7% rep lean on the chamber having that WV seat is insanely valuable
Why wouldn't you ostracize them if they aren't already willing to play ball? Seems like every day there's more evidence that Manchin and Sinema are only going to continue to knee-cap easy wins that help fight off a GOP rebound in the mid-terms. A $15 minimum wage is something a lot of childless people will easily identify why they should continue voting Democrat. You have a LOT more faith that they're going to not stand in the way of easy progress than I do at this point, I've fully become convinced they will stand in the way of populist bills for their own selfish gain until they vote otherwise.
Not to go all black pill, but the path to a USA where the ghouls don't end up on top seems very slim GA doing everything it can to suppress it's way back red Trump clearly gearing up to either run or run by proxy through someone else McConnell and the R's are acquiescing to more extreme elements of the party in order to stay in power Relatively minor repercussions for those that attacked the capital Got a feeling the economy will tank at some point, it's been too hot for too long (though covid could have had some weird effects on this) Edit: What am I talking about, my boy Jawn will get it done
because they're going to pass a $1.9T bill that you don't get passed otherwise? say those two seats are red right now, Biden gets nothing his whole presidency, it takes a year to get his cabinet confirmed, judges? forget about it, more relief? nope, reps will use the damage to win in '22.
