If the hex started today we’d be in at spot #6. It doesn’t so we need to win the return fixture or at the very least draw.

Ottawa Fury folded a few weeks back. Long story short the new Canadian league wanted them to join but they preferred staying in the USL. CONCACAF pres tried to force them in last year but wasn’t successful. He threatened to sanction any organization that didn’t turn their backs on the Fury, leaving them with a decision. Join CPL or suspend/fold the team. Ownership group doesn’t want to have anything to do with the CPL group so they suspended the team.
Hearing there might be a new team put here in Ottawa. Quite surprised at the ownership group interested in acquiring a franchise. Word should get out soon.

There’s a reason I’ve been calling this kid “the phenom” for the past 4 years

Yeah he’s been world class this season, although of course it is a small sample size. Exciting stuff

Jonathan David with a brace last night. Up to 15G and 8A in the league this season and I would guess in the contention for Belgian League player of the season.

He’ll move somewhere for big money this summer.

The chase down he had, I think last week, was absolutely nuts for an attacker to be getting back like that

David hat trick. Now the sole top scorer in Belgium and third in assists.

David I’m not surprised about. It’s Davies continued development that impressed me. He still doesn’t have the touch or soccer IQ that David has but he’s learned to play within his strengths. Both are becoming high end young talents.

29 games is not a small sample size, imo.

What’s it like having a world class teenager?

Value on transfermarkt is up to 44M. He’s the 7th most valuable left back in the world and the 5th most valuable teenager behind only Sancho, Håland, Junior, and Rodrygo.

Good step for him. If he continues to progress he could end up at an elite level club within a year or two.
