The line was CMU-17 on Monday. Today it is at -14.5 with 75% of the public on CMU. Weird line with how good CMU has played this year. Thoughts?
I can understand why the "wise guys" might be on Ball State here. It's a weekday game with a home dog getting over 2 TD's. The game means basically nothing to Central Michigan since their game with Northern Illinois next week will be for the MAC West title regardless of what happens this week. Plus Central Michigan has a recent history of laying eggs in MAC games they are supposed to dominate. See Eastern Michigan last year.
I agree. And if it somehow moves down to 14 I'll be all over CMU. I'm justing giving the reasons why the big money might think Ball State is the play.
I'm at 15. I'm taking the points. Everything is telling me. Reverse line movement. Mid-week home dog. Ball State is 1-9, but they've only lost one game by more than 15, and that was Auburn, which they lost 54-30.
My instinct is to go over 50 in this game and under 50.5 in the Buffalo/Miami (OH) game. Since the Buffalo/Miami game is at 6:00 I'll probably play that under and see how it is going before settling on what to do with Central Michigan.
