I 100% believe that is who he is. Guy turned a shit school into a multi-national championship winner. Then took Washington to heights they haven’t seen in 30 years in just a couple years. Notched wins against some of the best coaches in the country (Lanning, Sark, Riley) with less talent. I fully believe he is going to fuck shit up with alabamas resources. Byrne killed the hire.
If the DeBoer hires works and we stay an elite program, Byrne goes down as one the greatest ADs of all time, right? Nailed Saban replacement, nailed the basketball hire at a level even the most optimistic bammer never thought possible and generally oversaw a department that went from fringe top 25 overall to top 10-15 consistently.
Saban came in with this hard ass reputation but you almost get the sense that DeBoer is going to withhold more info than Saban.
Xavier Sabb was accompanied by his brother, 2026 athlete Amari Sabb, on the visit, which was taken so the two could see their oldest brother in his first game at Alabama.
That’s a good group to talk to about that shit. Wish more people were doing that 15+ years ago and we might have a few more friends still with us.
We're getting old man. I think about how much my life has changed since this board started and I smh. I know everyone else is the same.
I was prepared to hate this guy for a variety of reasons but I found this film breakdown to be quite informative and entertaining.
Certainly not a metric of how long any of us have posted together but definitely a measure of how old I am- My oldest just came back from a cruise with an engagement ring
Soccer transformation has been huge. I'm going to take my daughters to a game one day. He hasn't made a hire in women's basketball. Battle hired Curry.
I used to find him very obnoxious but he's dropped most of the hot takes (I assume gotten comfortable with his numbers) and his film breakdowns are pretty solid.
I'm pretty stoked on this running game, including Jalen. We might have more rushing yards than passing this season
as long as we beat people 63-0 and he talks about how great and scary we are, that is an elite film room break down show.
Think his breakdown was pretty fair. Pointed out a few issues he saw, particularly with Milroe, that have bothered me and articulated them well.
I think that video was excellent and enjoyed it immensely . I’m going to get one of those video boards so I can make yellow squiggles and talk about Tampa beaters during my 5AM film breakdowns
What was the greatest single game QB performance of the Saban era? I’m going Tua in the 2017 natty. Nuts that he peaked and played his best game as a true freshmen in a natty. He never made that many difficult throws again in a single game and especially not one of that magnitude
https://www.espn.com/college-footba...deboer-first-game-week-alabama-football-coach Not sure he is psychopath under it all. I have no idea why, but Capt. Winters from Band of Brothers is the first thing I think of. His people and his mission are the focus and he'll make sure both are taken of.
i smoke way too much weed to remember qb performances that happened more than a couple of years ago. but my initial reaction is hurts in the 2018 seccg
BY vs KSU was pretty dominant. 15-21 for 321 yards and 5 TDs against a top 10 Big12 champion. His QBR was the same against them as Milroe's was this week against WKU. Milroe currently has the highest QBR in the nation when most teams played scrubs. Him not sitting when by all accounts he should have adds like 30 bonus points.
Bryce did so many ridiculous things that it just seemed normal just routinely incredible shit. when you consider the opponent this is #1 no question he also threw for nearly 600 yards and 5 touchdowns against Arkansas one time but that’s whatever
