That and there's already a ton of value in guys who can protect the rim and not get roasted in switches. Doesn't matter if all he does is catch lobs and roll to the rim.
nate has definitely raised the bar. hopefully he can develop some guys and develop some cohesion down the stretch. Definitely interested to see how he does with the new staff.
Oh this is going to be an all year talk. The first time we lose to someone not a major name it’ll be time to fire him according to them.
Miles has his new bond hearing and arraignment tomorrow. (Z) or other attorneys, have any opinion on the judge Daniel Pruet? He’s presiding over the hearing. It’ll be just Miles tomorrow as Davis has applied for youthful offender status, and he first has a hearing for that in 2 months. I wonder if being solo might help Miles.
He's a good guy. Don't know how he is on criminal stuff though, only ever been in front of him on civil. He used to do some criminal defense, so I imagine he's fair.
Saban's not kicking anybody off the team for a little jazz cabbage. It's 2023, always one step ahead.
Just flipped it over to the game. First I’ve watched all season. That was an impressive K. Kid looked good.
I'll be honest - I'm nervous we'll host and the place will be 1/3 empty. Especially with students gone.
So this is Jerry Meyers outlook on Udeh Jr as a high school prospect. He sounds like a perfect fit if we could somehow jump in late and snag him. “Has a tremendous physique at 6-10, including a 7-2 wing span. Is a quality athlete for a center, plays with energy and runs rim to rim. Excels at snatching and finishing lob passes. Is also a dangerous offensive rebounder with his pursuit of positioning and good hands. Not a polished offensive player. Has limited shooting range. Tends to play upright and needs to refine his footwork. Does have a go-to right handed jump hook. Not a ball handler and is mechanical in his passing but tends to make the correct read. Is a quality rim protector on defense. Is engaged on that end. Controls space as a rebounder.”
I would think it's more the fleeing at well over 100 mph, and the intent to distribute that would get him kicked off the team. In addition to the gun. But I don't get paid $4 million to pop in the tapes.
People will show up for a regional. If we don't hire him, I sure hope Jackson gets a HC gig somewhere out of this. Just an impressive job by everyone all the way around. Alabama baseball hasn't been fun in a long time.
I’d be ok with hiring him, I think the biggest question would be can he recruit? Bohannon was shit coach, but a good recruiter
Only hire him if you think he's the best available that you can get. Don't settle just because we've had a good month or two.
Yea - you gotta do a full search. He can be involved, but we can't just hire him two days after we win a regional or something. Let him interview, give a plan, etc. We have some positive momentum, a solid roster and good facilities. Can't shoot ourselves in the foot with this one.
