Only thing that worries me with Davis is that he had every opportunity to win that Seattle job and they kept trying to find a better RB.
He was definitely a square peg in a round hole with Nagy. Ran hard tho and helped us beat some teams we shouldn’t have with Fox.
6tg rd pick is better than a zero Rd pick. We can pick up a UDFA that’ll be more productive than Howard.
Triple digit numbers this year? Chicago Bears Mobile: Bears to wear triple-digit jerseys in 2019 https://www.chicagobears.com/news/bears-to-wear-triple-digit-jerseys-in-2019
I saw that on twitter and thought maybe it was a 1 game or preseason game special. Was trying to wrap my brain around how confusing/weird it would get.
We’ve went over this, this isn’t the team or the year to hope we found a NFL caliber kicker. This is possibly a Super Bowl contending team, lock up the kicking position with an all-time great kicker. Get it done.
It’s a shit ton to invest in the kicker position. You already got the cap hit on Parkey and Gould probably wants 5 x 2 or 3 plus giving up the pick. Add in there has been zero indication that our front office wants Gould back. Sure the fans want him but the team seems set on drafting a kicker
Who you guys like for 87 tonight? 1) Jaun Thornill (unlikely to be available) 2) Amani Hooker 3) Jace Sternberger 4) Taylor Rapp 5) Jachai Polite 6) Khale Warning
“One of the safest runners in this draft with a desirable combination of size, vision, toughness and creativity. He runs with impressive calm and instincts in the midst of interior mayhem, weaving and battering his way through traffic. Smart teams will recognize his ability to create yardage for himself with his eyes, footwork, contact balance and power. Should alleviate concerns about his lack of explosiveness. Montgomery has a pro-ready game and Day 2 (Rounds 2-3) value as a good NFL starter.”
Any one of us probably could have got that review running against Big 12 defenses last year....just saying.
Probably the best production from a RB in this class. Kid is big, runs hard and has a little juke in him. Good pass catcher and overall just a well rounded player. He didn't test well at the combine but did look better at his pro day. He's a good running back.
Physical possession receiver who wins with attention to detail in his routes, plus body control and sure hands. Ridley isn't the fastest receiver on the block, but there is enough under the engine to race cornerbacks down the field if he's challenged on an island. His separation windows may always be a little tighter, but his timing and ability to turn contested catches in his favor should make him a better pro than college player with an upside of WR2.
I like the pick because he won’t be counted on heavily for a year or 2, give him time to get used to the speed and physical nature of the NFL.
So our last pick Stephen Denmark is a 6’3” 220 corner who runs a 4.46. I guess he’s a converted WR so he may end up back there with that size and speed, definitely an interesting prospect.
Alex Bars will be a steal too. Especially knowing Hiestand. If he doesn’t get hurt this year he’s easily drafted in the top end of the draft.
Can’t remember where I saw it but someone said they haven’t seen a workout as impressive as his in over 20 years of scouting. I guess his film is shit though because he doesn’t know how to play DB.
What excites me is that Pagano is known as one of the best secondary coaches ever. Let that kid tear up special teams for a couple years as he gets tutored.
