They've cut back big time on the guest conductors over the last couple years. Pretty much all Chicago related now as opposed to the old way when you'd have random embarrassing acts like Ozzy Osbourne and Jeff Gordon.
Both teams with horrible approaches at the plate. Hardly a ball on the ground all game. A lot of barreled up balls in the air getting chewed up by the wind.
Gonna get swept by the Brewers. 3 runs all series. Division lead from 5 games down to 2. Way to step it up, fellas.
Heyward is a black hole on offense. Might want to take another shot at that whole swing fixing thing.
Love seeing Contreras' name back in the lineup. Time to get back on track. Take 2/3 from the Mets before the big weekend series against STL.
Minor League Pitcher of the Year Jen-Ho Tseng getting the call up and starting tomorrow. Should be interesting. Be good to have Monty back in the pen. Idk what's going on with my font. Might have had something to do with having to copy and paste his name.
Had an awesome time Friday night. First time at Wrigley. Everyone was super nice before and during the game. Wrgleyville is unbelievable.
Yeah - you would think Wilson looking back and seeing what Happ did might make him I don't know run to the plate
I'd like to see Almora get some more starts down the stretch. He's had a good year. Be interesting to see what his role is next year.
Grimmy's not making the playoff roster. He's been awful this year. Disappointing because I love that guy.
Hopefully Lack has his A stuff today. Huge series. Martinez seems to struggle against us so hopefully we can put up a crooked number on him. And before I can hit post reply Lackey gives up a 1st inning homer. Clockwork.
Turned on the radio and hear "Martinez up to bat". Instantly think FUCK Lackey has already let 8 guys bat this inning.
Same. That missed strike 3 will probably bite us in the ass. Especially if Wilson doesn't get out of this now, which I don't expect him to.
Sweep these cunts tomorrow. This may come as a bit of a surprise given how wildly inconsistent they have seemed:
Saw a stat a few weeks back that the Cubs have scored the most runs per game since the All-Star break by 1.1 runs over the 2nd highest team. The offense has turned it around... Pitching rounding into shape and the defense is solid
Just checking in. Did the Tigers still win the trade? Candelario looks like he can be a league average 3b. Not that you guys had any use for him, but could have traded him for someone better than Wilson.
Avila has been good and really helped out big time when we got hit by injuries. Wilson will be fine. I haven't lost faith Candelario was going to be a good 3B. I think anyone who watched the kid understood that. Just no room on this roster. Hope he does great things for you
