Lol. No I don’t have his tax return. Do you have the receipt for his watch? I don’t care about gifts. I was reacting to your claim that he’s not making 7 figures. If you can’t correct your perspective on that I’m not going to help you anymore. Do your own research!
Telling about how out of touch bama is with the modern NIL landscape for QBs. No wonder they are stuck with their three stooges. this isn’t an exaggeration, Jeff Sims is getting six figures for going to Nebraska and he blows. But yeah, Shadeur Sanders, one of the most marketable players in the nation who also most definitely has a trust fund is corny because we don’t have his w2 and bank statement and can’t track the origin of the funds used on his jewelry
Yes, that's my point. Idc if it's the kid of a CEO or a famous pro athlete, kids flexing their parent's wealth is corny to me. Like wear the watch, awesome, but when you start throwing it in people's faces left and right like you did it all, that's corny to me. Really didn't mean it to turn into this rant. If some of you want to think he's buying multiple 100k watches while at Jac St and a 200k car all on his own and his very wealthy father isn't the one buying them, go for it. Goodnight.
Near 4 AM Sunday rant about his alma mater’s (USA) fellow in-state program and former favorite team (Auburn) rival’s (Alabama) rival (Florida) rival (Florida State) detested team (because their best player of all time and potential best recruit of all time told them to fuck off and went to Jackson State) (who then switched to Colorado of all programs) gets a little flashy.
From hearing the press conference he's definitely more straight up less coach speak than literally every other coach in the country (lot more refreshing). I think a lotta people thought he'd be at best 2-1 and more likely 1-2 at this point, whole issue revolves around if he can keep a lot of this up if they lose some games.
I don’t think they’re good enough all around to keep this up. However, they have some elite talent and can score in a hurry. Reminds me of USC
I mean I hate to play too much of the transitive property "who beat who" type stuff but Wazzu did beat these same Colorado St Rams by 26. Like it's a remarkable turnaround for the program and they've exceeded expectations but I'm just not sure the same mentality will exist if they lose some games, Deion went 4-3 in the covid year but just not sure he's ever dealt with real adversity at this point. I do think a lot of schools are worried about him poaching players/recruits, hell Travis Etienne tweeted that maybe his brother Trevor (UF rb) should be playing for Coach Prime and it got a Sportscenter retweet before Trevor laughed it off. Even the best "recruiters" have to feel a little jittery if Deion steps into the picture, Deion can lean on his playing resume, legit celeb status, and actual appreciation for where guys come from as one of them opposed to some white salesmen and he seems to be putting in the work I don't think anyone perceived he would (guy worth $30+ million with a cushy lifestyle he'd never deviated from doing the same recruiting stuff as guys who got into the business making less than minimum wage).
That colorado defense is bad and Oregon is going to cut them to pieces. If they can slow down sanders and that offense might be over halftime
I think the point is we don’t think about it all. You do and then make baseless assumptions about how much money these kids can be making form NIL. you think KFC paid Shadeur in free sides? And honestly wouldn’t surprise me if most of his flashier stuff wasn’t paid for at all, just given to him to wear as part of an NIL deal.
Just never know with a potential shootout and if I've learned anything it's how valuable those mobile qbs are. Essentially no one in college has that Brady, Brees, ability to dissect a defense so unless you have the next one of those you're just so much better off accepting a lesser passer for a scrambler as they're so difficult to contain. Just seems like this year in 3 weeks I've seen qbs make more plays with their legs than previously, best offense in the last 10-15 years is 2019 LSU with a million weapons plus Burrow when things don't work out.
Shadeur uses his legs to set up the pass and because their OL blows. He’s not really a dual threat runner. a buddy has had a crazy amount of hate for Colorado since Deion was hired and he was talking about how they are going to get smoked at Oregon. I pointed out it’s not like Oregon has the 85 bears D. I will probably try to get on the over very early in the week.
You don't have to be Michael Vick but it's in his arsenal and that's part of what makes defense so difficult, sorry for a kinda rambling post but that legit run threat is so valuable. Without dline penetration kinda boxing a qb in man coverage with no spy is so much susceptible to a backbreaking 3rd and long scramble than I'd guess even 5-7 years ago.
Staking my claim now that Colorado beats USC. I base that purely off of Lincoln Riley's total unwillingness to invest in his defense
Wow weird thread just popping in to say what a dirty hit that was on Hunter, beyond late which Nole poster paid the bounty
People who root against Deion: - FSU fans who are butthurt he doesn’t worship their school - Rivals of Colorado such as Nebraska - White people who are stubborn and afraid of change who root for white walkons who play the “right/white” way and who thought Lamar Jackson and Cam Newton were never NFL QBs
The 4 guests remaining are boomer braskers that want to share dusty screenshots of a picture from their phone showing a 1920s newspaper archive that talks about how mean the hippies used to be. But they can’t figure out how to register an account.
There's lot of other things people could have been watching/doing. The game was in prime time for a reason.
wait are people really going argue that prime isn’t one of the biggest cfb draws ever? If there’s one thing he’s proven, it’s that.
Funny thing is, this is exactly why a ton of hcs fail and why Deion is succeeding. A lot more goes into being a good head coach than game planning. Deion gets the big picture(marketing, recruting and hiring and managing a staff). Bunch of other coaches just think it’s about x and os.
Legit shocking to me. but I know when I woke up Sunday that the first highlights I looked for on YT was for this game.
