If they just opened up vaccinations to everyone, it would be harder to get a vaccination than a PS5. If they want to speed up vaccinations, make it more accessible.

Bingo. Masks and social distancing work for ALL respiratory viruses. Covid is far more easily spread, hence the issue.

Is his point that there are 7,667 flu cases misdiagnosed as Covid? Cause our 7-day moving average is over 216k new cases per day, I’m not sure 7k is really moving the needle, you dumb bastard.

I don’t know if I misheard the morning news podcast I listened to today but I believe FL is just anyone over 65?

 

Georgia is too now apparently but the county website here is barely responsive and apparently there are no more remaining doses that can be scheduled. We have a hotline but it's basically just information only, my wife is calling my MIL's PCP today and hopefully they'll have some information after not knowing a single damn thing a couple of weeks ago.

 

I believe it might have some county by county variation, but yes, that's the gist for now. My stupid step-dad (not an anti-vaxxer at all) is being all ho-hum about getting an appt and it is very frustrating. All you have to do is call and schedule it.

So, obviously there are more more important things, but what are the chances a June wedding will be able to be somewhat normal? I'm guessing pretty slim?

 

Tomorrow gonna be the first day that we truly catch up on holiday numbers. Next 4 days gonna be bad, numberswise.

 

This is a really good read filled with interesting observations of the bay area response to COVID and raises a lot of questions (imo) about the type of health infrastructure we should want in our respective communities.
Mind you that things have definitely been "heating up" in the area more recently, and the skilled nursing facility highlighted is now battling a significant outbreak.

 

Ugh, got told not sure when we'll get vaccine due to state falling behind of vaccinating healthcare workers.

 

My assistant said her daughter/boyfriend got COVID from the boyfriends grandma Christmas Day....after they had breakfast at my assistants house. Her daughter then went to her other grandparents house. All grandparents are sick. Her daughter and daughter bf are sick as well. Christmas is going to reek havoc on the US.

 

Just wait until New Year’s Eve delay. It’s going to be very very bad

 

Me, pregnant wife staying home is sounding better and better every day.

 

Oh and the over cooked steaks due to her pregnantness, (sous vided so still delicious but I miss my consistent rare/med rare).
