I’ve been wondering what the unintended unforeseen consequences might be. You’d expect a baby boom, but does this quarantine give some smart hacker enough days in a row off from work to cripple the banks even further? Or maybe something completely positive like an overworked assistant gets to finish a kickass screenplay. It’s a fun thought experiment imagining what a couple of unplanned weeks away from work can mean to the world. Not to take away from sadness or the lost wages, just trying to imagine what might exist because of this that otherwise never would have. For me, the boss already announced at 6 PM on Friday we will NOT be shutting down. Id expect nothing less.

God damnit Eathan Edwards answer my question. Not trying to call you out but you’re a restaurant owner. What (if anything) safety nets are there in place for your hourly workers? Do you know of any? I am not blaming you if there aren’t. But, like I said I have loved ones who are in position that they don’t know where there next paycheck is coming from so I’d like to know if you know of anything they can do. If there are any “hacks” for them.
Apologies on the delay: state does know what they’re getting from federal so they can’t plan city doesn’t know from state so they can’t plan I’m paying the hourly to some of the locations - but they don’t even care about their hourly -they want to be able to give good service and make tips. It sucks. i know I posted this somewhat but I’ve literally been on calls with staffs’ parents for the majority of my day.
