the canonization of dewine and to a certain degree cuomo is indicative of just how low we’ve set the bar now
I hear what you're saying but not necessarily. You get this shit you just cross your fingers and pray (if you do).
Really good read on why jcrew is going bankrupt. Same thing has Neiman Marcus next and many other private equity owned retailers might not be far behind them.
funny how much shit whitmer is catching and she’s done a better job than some of the men who have been getting praise makes you think
Question posed to my college frat friend group earlier -- If there was a sold out Alabama football game at Bryant-Denny Stadium today, would you go or would you stay home in an attempt to avoid the virus? 4 people said yes. One said he's not worried because his girlfriend is an ER nurse so he probably couldn't be any more in danger of exposure. One is a huge Trump guy so naturally science means nothing to him. Another said he'd just make sure to wash his hands a lot.
I really hope this is on tape. Nothing will happen but it will be something that can be played in ads and repeated in a crucial swing state.
We let these motherfuckers ascend. We were complacent, and lacked imagination. We deserve everything coming. Hopefully, we'll last long enough to learn some lessons.
Fuck that. My shit was wrecked. I tested negative but my dr still thinks I had it due to negative flu test. March I could run 3 miles after a an hour of lifting weights fast forward to a month later and I would get winded walking from room to room in our apartment and had to put my hands on a doorframe in order to get deep breaths. Nights were the worst because you wake up and can’t breath and have to get up and go to the door. No fever ever but my throat killed me for a few days, negative on strep test, and had this weird metallic taste in my mouth for a few days. The shortness of breath was the worst by far and scared the fuck outta me as I’ve never had asthma or any type of lung issues. It’s been well over 2 weeks and I’m still on an inhaler
i genuinely dont have a good guess, the consensus like I mentioned for a while was 30-50% of cases fell into asymptomatic or presymptomatic buckets. seems more and more people think true asymptomatic cases are rare vs just very mild symptoms being the more likely indicator for that bucket of cases
Childhood friend that I don't hang out with anymore for that very reason. If I cut out all Trump supporters from my life, I'd have a very small social network in Alabama though. That said, the guy from my post who is dating the ER nurse is our mutual friend RP. He's not much for science and is kinda a Trump guy too I'm pretty sure.
no one disputes that people have really bad experiences with this. Like yours, and worse. The question as it relates to asymptomatic, or minor symptoms is how prevalent are those cases vs. cases like yours? My wife probably had it. In early March she had chest pressure and shortness of breath, and coughing when she took a deep breath. No fever, no sore throat. She said it was "really bad" but it was not as bad as what you are describing. She never was able to be tested for Covid, but went to the ER (her doc was afraid it could be a pulmonary embolism) and got tested for everything else and it all came back negative. The week prior to her showing those symptoms I had a very mild headache and some congestion. The same week my wife showed symptoms my one daughter got a sore throat for 3 days, but no other symptoms, and was fine after that. My youngest daughter never showed any symptoms. One other little twist here, I have Type A blood, and my wife has Type O, so based on the blood types I should be at risk to develop more severe symptoms than her. So.... it's possible that I had it first, had really minor symptoms, and gave it to my wife and daughter and they had the symptoms above. And even if I wasn't patient zero in my house, locked in a house with my wife, who probably had it, for the past 2 months, my kids and I would surely have gotten it. But we have not shown any symptoms at all since the wife showed symptoms. Just throwing this out there.
Where did you find this tweet? Do you follow him? He is friends with one of my friends from highschool who is now a professor, and I shared it with him and he was shocked I would have seen it.
He's in construction as I'm sure you know and tends to have a "people are too soft these days" attitude towards most stuff. As is true for my high school as well, you can give someone an elite classroom education but you can't force them to have critical thinking skills.
SIAP Stanford is able to resume non-emergency procedures because they were able to test like 11,000 of their employees https://abc7news.com/health/stanford-resumes-non-emergency-surgeries/6151614/
It astonishes me that there are still people on planet earth that don’t understand the potency of asymptomatic transmission of this bug. or how people are liking a literal global pandemic to the common cold or “any other number of viruses”. Because, like, the flu definitely shut the world down for two months last winter.
He's pretty big in the intellectual left-leaning twittersphere. I follow him and find him to be extremely sharp
Yes, my friend said that he isn’t that well know outside of their immediate circle but that the guy is super bright. He was just surprised that Anyone outside of his circle knew him.
Seems like someone who might be at a high risk of coming in contact with covid should not be going to a stadium full of people.
It's all extremely selfish and self centered. But I can't get past the thought process of -- "Well I already interact with one person who could have it, what's the difference in potentially interacting with 100,000+ other people that could also potentially have it?"
I think you meant to say large corporations. The government has barely done anything for the population. Why must you people speak on things when you clearly haven't been paying attention?
This is absolutely going to be the real life version of any tweet he's ever made in the past where he's wrong. Hell, watch tonight's numbers end up being the literal worst day we've had in terms of deaths and it age terribly within hours.
Before I ignore you, I just want to tell you how vile this post is. Tens of thousands of people will died in the US who contracted this at their jobs, in nursing homes, getting groceries and from family members. And you decided they're all stupid.
Just declare victory and call everyone who dies weak. Bout what I expected. Still crazy as fuck but there you go.
I posted something on Facebook and my friend reached out to me. I thought nothing of it. He was just so shocked that I would have seen it. They teach together at NYU and are very close.
the servant class isn’t in a position to work from home or take work off, but I guess that’s just social Darwinism for you and comes what come May
While I already knew Illinihockey sucked, Babou really vaulted toward the top of the shitlord heap this morning. Some truly awful, sociopathic posting.
