New show on Discovery. First episode was last monday. Reality TV show that chronicles the efforts of the top mechanics in Cuba to restore and maintain classic 1950's American Roadsters without access to American parts or tools since that same time period because of the US trade embargo. Its the first American TV show filmed exclusively in Cuba. Obama recently lifted the trade embargo so I don't foresee the central thesis of the show lasting much longer than a season or two but the first episode was good. I've always been fascinated how these mechanics do what they do without access to American parts or tools. Everything they do is jerry-rigged, ramming that square peg into a round hole.
