He’s probably posting MLK memes and asking that we should judge a man by the content of his character, not by the color of his neck.
posted in the athlete thread, but having been critical of Brian Kelly early on, he has done a tremendous job. Allowed players to have their voice, took off limits on social media and on the front line of a university protest walk with his players.
It’s not that big of a deal, dabo can replace the infected players with better recruits. « Football matters »
I was like ten when “The Strom” opened and I remember being a bit puzzled by the choice of namesake. He was easy joke fodder on the late night shows for his racism and age back then. You’d like to think the people that approved of the decision would have the foresight (not even foresight is necessary. Just sight) to know it would become problematic but I can’t say I’m not surprised.
he traveled for Easter so it really shouldn’t surprise me, but he just doesn’t fucking get it. 23 of his unpaid employees tested positive and he’s just galavanting around the southeast like it’s nbd.
Somehow I don't think having workouts and practices like most other football programs and something potentially happening is quite the same as actually sending a kid to his death so you could video tape a practice. But that's just me.
A lot of people were upset at Kelly for it, but he came out and said that was in the past, quoted some Bible scripture and said let's move on. Then he wore a scaffolding matters shirt and everyone realized he's just a football coach and really didn't know better and forgave him. Funny that my point showing that coaches can in fact not be racist and can be more than just football coaches is met with diverting attention away from that, but i guess racism only continues with people enabling it.
Has anyone asked Dabo what God is waiting for? He can't possibly be that busy right now... Fuck me do evangelicals suck so much ass https://www.al.com/sports/2020/04/d...an-stamp-this-out-as-quick-as-it-rose-up.html
I haven’t defended Dabo itt yet. I merely made a point about how strong you are for being proud of your coach and how far he’s come when the point he started at was killing a kid, which is a pretty low starting point. And you took the child’s way out and pointed to things that hadn’t happened yet (when kids get sick getting back to practice).
Your leadership hired Muschamp, then gave him an extension along with a huge raise to an OC that was gone after a year after “only” losing to Clemson by 21. Then, the next season the president and board openly said they would fire Muschamp but they couldn’t because they couldn’t afford the buyout... even with that SEC money. Your AD is a baseball coach that is clearly in over his head. Are you just beginning to question your leadership may not be that sharp?
Lol, going to be a rough season for you when Dabo gets his trophies. I would change the channel immediately following the game.
Ok, so you're willing to say that Dabo is wrong for not saying Black Lives Matter and should allow his players more voice when it comes to social issues affecting them, right? My point has 100% to do with race and racial issues. Let's get yourn thoughts and then we can all move on to health issues.
Yes, I have been disappointed in the way dabo has handled this situation, including his statements and his poor wardrobe choices. I was hoping for and expecting more than what he offered at the beginning of all this. I think his involvement in the peaceful protests and most of his comments during it were better. I also think a lot has been overblown itt and things have jumped the shark quite a bit in order to take shots at him due to his religion but that's a different point all together. I'm not sure what you're talking abt on the allowing the players more of a voice thing. I could have missed it as I don't read every article or action taken by Clemson or Clemson football but I haven't seen where he has kept any of his players from expressing themselves. Hell, the peaceful protest was basically started and put on by many football players.
"God will protect us from a certain event" Event happens and God doesn't protect them Bizarre rationalization for why God didn't protect them Rinse and repeat It's a really sad continuous cycle affecting people who've been brainwashed.
CoastalOrange ’s IG feed is full of him wearing myriad new Clemson gear including a “It’ll always be the Calhoun Building to me” t-shirt. Don’t believe anything he says.
I'll walk back parts of my comments because he did indeed make positive comments, but fuck, please stop this God nonsense. We get it, you're an evangelical. You don't have to remind people every time you open your mouth.
How hard is it for you to avoid Dabo’s comments? I imagine not that hard. Also, why are you denying him his American right of freedom of speech and religion when it’s clear he isn’t hurting anyone? I’m sure you’re very pro protest/pro BLM and would speak out against anyone that would voice displeasure with that, but when Dabo wants to thank God you flip your shit and want him silenced. You have an issue with equality. I hope you figure it out.
You need to pay closer attention, it's "Calhoun Honor's College" sheesh. And that's my shirt for tomorrow, today is my homemade "Clemson Football Matters" shirt.
Clemson worships and honors Frank Howard, Howard's proudest accomplishment was that he never had a single black player in 30 years.

Then why must your players have to rub his rock every game against his wishes, that’s basalt brother.

I hate Ohio State as much as the next person but who doesn’t love the pageantry of the sousaphone dotting the i in *checks notes* “Dr. Richard Strauss”
Good point, but have you considered: A former physician, now dead, at Ohio State University sexually abused at least 177 male students, likely more, during his two decades at the institution and faced no consequences until he was briefly suspended and then retired with an honorary title.
DMX fixin’ to get thread banned twice in one day. Quite the impressive meltdown we’ve got here today.
I’m doing this for the victims. One for each. Ban me if you must, but i’m speaking out for those that tOSU tried to sweep under the rug I know you want to silence me.
