Right, just a bad look when it's his son and he says that before the first practice. I like Deion but that wasn't the right thing to say there.
Only issue I have is when he said "The more of you that quit, the more room we have." Thay comes off like he's rooting for them to quit. While he can internally think that, shitty to say it out loud. The rest is whatever to me.
Colorado has home games against Oregon State, USC, and Nebraska. Away games at TCU, UCLA, Oregon, Utah, and Washington State. I don't care how much he reworks the roster, if he makes a bowl game in year 1 going to be a miracle.
Level of competition is going to test his coaching abilities, these games aren’t against southern. Was it true that, Jackson State could’ve played in the playoffs but refused?
There's some long-standing thing where their conference winner plays a bowl vs. another's for a big payday. It'll be really interesting if he just goes star hunting and ends up with an A&M locker room (or maybe just A&M's actual locker room lmao).
It’s a conference decision, the conference winner of the SWAC and MEAC opt out of the playoffs and instead play in the Celebration Bowl.
personally i am v excited to watch this all unfold in other news, how good was Travis Hunter this year?
I'm old enough to remember when Willie didn't understand the NCAA rules about who could be on and off field staff so we accidentally had 2 WRs coaches at the same time
Let the rejuvating healing powers of Coach Prime wash away all past transgressions. In Prime's name we pray. Amen.
Kelly is a weird dude. Always wore full sweatsuit even in Tally summers. I overheated just looking at him.
While also having a special teams only coach that had never coached anything but 7on7 teams. We legit were down 2 on the field coaches one season.
Haven't listened to the podcast, but cliffs on the argument that JSU put him in a position to skip the line? Without hearing Bomani's take it seems lime Deion's name and personality allowed that, not so much JSU?
Cliffs... - No major conference school would hire Deion because he had no coaching experience, and Jackson State gave him that opportunity - After giving him that opportunity, the Jackson State community supported him and his team as much or more than anyone could have hoped - Not upset he left for Colorado, but Deion owed Jackson State more than not talking to media after winning the SWAC title, and not thanking them or mentioning them at all during his presser
I think Bomani was going to criticize him for leaving no matter what he did because he (Bomani) got a lot of shit from people for saying he didn't really like the Deion hire in the first place because he was going to do exactly what he did. I think the direction he took it was the nicest way he could do it without making a bunch of people mad (which probably didn't work, because it's the internet and I'm sure a bunch of people are mad anyway).
