Here's my running thoughts of mush trying to comprehend everything in the simulation - Devs doesnt exist in it. They show Forest and fam playing in the field when Devs is. So why is Dimitri still there. Is the Sudoku app, really just a Sudoku in this reality? Is Dimitri really as spy? If he's not, why is the bum guy still there. So hes clearly still a spy, but if Devs doesnt exist, what his he spying on? And Lilly goes back to Jamie for all the shit he did in the real world, but he doesnt know that in the simulation. Why is he so warm and hugs her, when in the real world he basically told her to fuck off? Also back in the real world, if that Senator shuts down Devs, they just die in the sim? This show was good, and im being a douche picking a part everything, but this is where my mind goes.
I am not sure your initial premise is correct regarding the existence of Devs. That said, when I think through this I came up with a paradox. For Lily she was just inserted back into the timeline 2 days earlier. My assumption is the only thing that changed outside of what happened to Amaya is that they were inserted 2 days back in the timeline. For Forest it would have been much earlier. Since they are in the same timeline though it would stand to reason that there was no Devs as we know it. Lily is in another world though that was formed by Forest, so a lot may have changed for her and the people around her. It's possible that Sergei was still a spy. I just assumed he was. What he is spying on could be anything in the Amaya world. Actually the idea of Amaya in general is a bit of a struggle considering the reasons he created it no longer exist. As far as the easier stuff... Jamie never stopped loving Lily. Her accepting him would be deemed good by him regardless of what we know happened in the other reality. Yes, they would die.
Maybe it’s because she shared so much screen time with Offerman (who was great) but the girl who play Lily isn’t a very good actress.
I heard on a podcast that Google had achieved what they call "quantum supremacy" which made me want to dig deeper and try to understand but that didn't last long. All I could decipher is that it would be a technological breakthrough like going from an eniac machine to a MacBook
Doesn’t really matter either way but Spoiler Watching the dam scene: I was almost certain Katie was going to shove Lyndon off the dam. Would’ve been a lot cooler if she did.
