Pistons-Blazers could be postponed and maybe after lock.
just about to post this. Thanks, need to re-assess that lineup big time.
Sigh, missed out by 6 points
Holy shit, I struck out on all my lineups for football this weekend. Unfucking believable.
Ended up cashing in the two tourneys I entered besides the free roll which I missed by a few points. Dufner and McGirt had shitty final rounds so that hurt.
I cashed in exactly 0.0 contests this weekend. fucking horrible weekend, two in a row actually.
I don't know if I did something but I'm receiving random invites into a league on DK
your reputation precedes you apparently.
I'm not exactly crushing it over there with my $3 games but I have built up some game funds. I was thinking I must have clicked something to get an invite to the 'Band of Spectacular Octopuses' group. lol
that's a great fucking name, you should join just for that.
I get invites all of the time from KingDudeMan
Quadrupled up on $16 worth of entries from the NFL playoffs.
Lost four bills last weekend in NFL. hope to close out strong this weekend.
I play in a lot of $2-$10, 10 person leagues for nba and nfl. I realized I started seeing the same name over and over (ChipotleAddict) in almost everyone. I googled the username and I guess there are a handful of guys out there that play hundreds of leagues a day. Would be curious to see how profitable this is and what type of set up they have running to manage so many different rosters, especially when the payout for a lot of the leagues I see him in is less than $25.
ChipotleAddict, SaahilSud, brandonadams and AE Jones (both known poker pros), and Mallen21 play EVERYTHING. I played a ton of the Milly Maker this year, and it honestly just pisses me off to watch these guys with hundreds of entries. They get to play every conceivable lineup they can come up with. We need many more 3 entry max tourneys to have a fighting chance.
Mad respect for those guys. What they do is not easy. Try to run 150 lineups in the qaurter arcade. It's a pain in the ass. Late swaps and such could make or break you
I don't see how they do it. Drives me crazy just having 7-8 different lineups. On another note, I finally broke my week and half skid in nba. I've missed cashing in every tourney and 50/50 by less than 5 points in that time. Finally won a 50/50 last night with all those ugly games.
Good luck to everyone that's doing nfl today. I ran 4 tourney line ups out today. One with each qb.
My best lineup (only one to cash in)
Best NBA finish for me. Late swap from Anthony Davis to Terrance Jones helped a ton.
another good night in nba
Anyone care to start sharing what their lineups are? I haven't seen any in a while. I've got a couple tourney lineups tonight. Don't feel confident tonight but we'll see what happens.
Westbrook, Nelson, curry, Williams, finney smith, hayword, dieng, young, towns
It's really not difficult to play that many lineups if you're good with excel. I play 100 lineups a night in each slate and can mange fine. From a profitability stand point, I do decent. I make about a 10-15% ROI. It really varies by night. Last night I only made about 20% of what I wagered back because of all my exposure to Atlanta guys. But two nights ago I made 3x what I wagered thanks to Teague, KAT, and Jokic.
How much are you betting for lineup?
Also, what site or tool are you using for roster updates? I know a few are out there.
I got burned last night because Curry was knocked out due to flu about 90 minutes before the lock and I was busy taking care of my kid and didn't get to check until 2 minutes too late. That was my own fault but if you are in 100 lineups, you are juggling maybe a hundred players I'd assume depending on the # of games in action.
I play 10% of my bankroll a night and then I try to split that evenly among my lineups, so it varies by night.
I use a rotoworld RSS feed for player updates and typically that's good enough to get things set before lock. But yeah NBA is probably the most important sport to be able to check things shortly before lock. If I know I'm going to be out around lineup lock time I typically just don't play.
Thread died. Had a good one tonight. Pretty much breaking even for the past month and a half.
Came out $200 ahead in NFL whoop whoop
Was up 80$ for NFL. Nothing special but I'll take it.
Played NASCAR dfs for the first time last weekend and won about $50
Played $12 on NBA last night and won $124. I was at $367 at half time of the Celtics/Lakers game
Nice. I finished 131st in the $3 entry game. Won $120. I was top 50 until the 2nd half of Bos-LAC
Threw two entries into a small tourney and put up 264.5 and 262.75 and just missed cashing . I wish I would have played cash. No Bestbrook absolutely killed me
Had an incredibly frustrating night 10 days ago. I scored a 360 which was good enough for 18th in the four point play and $1,000 but I had one guy who got ruled out 3 minutes after lineups locked and got me a big ole zero. Would've only needed 18 points for 1st and the $20,000 first place, anything over 7 points would've gotten me second and the $10,000.
What you playing tonight?
I'm not playing any NBA the rest of this month because I'm closing on a personal residence on the 31st and trying to get a deal done for a small apartment complex right now too. Looking at the slate I'd have gone Harden and Boogie for sure with exposure to Rondo, Zubac, and Wiggins as my core.
Aaron Gordon tanking, killed me
Thank goodness baseball is back.
Where is the best place to find game-by-game results for NBA and NFL that include the players numbers and the opponent? Haven't had much luck in finding a free database of that stuff.
Rotogrinders may have something
Yeah I found stuff for NFL but nothing so far for NBA. I'm assuming NBA is a lot harder to find due to the amount of games. I just need to figure out which variables are good for predicting targets and yards and convert that to a regression formula to predict based on the D numbers.
Is Rotogrinders worth paying for for DraftKings baseball?
Finished 20th in 2 fanduel NBA games last night. Unfortunately with so few options I split with a ton of people. Cashed for $165 with $17 in entry fees.
I have a good one going tonight and you have the options of still editing your lineup with Bos-Cle players. I'm at 155 points with Smart, JR Smith, Lebron, Love and Thompson left. I could swap Smart, JR Smith and Lebron for Kyrie, Bradley and Crowder. I'm undecided but I do expect Lebron to play like his hair is on fire tonight.
I won 18k the night of UFC 190.
Haven't played since. Too much of a time commitment if you are actually going to make money consistently.
For the record, I was profitable playing baseball, but it took approximately 4-6 hours of prep every day.
If you are doing less work than that you might want to consider investing elsewhere.
What's your DK name?
I'd rather not say for several reasons, but I could post pics with name redacted if you are asking bc you think I'm full of shit.
Just saying this because I'm pretty sure I recall you saying you've played poker a bit before--the disparity between "bad" DFS players and strong DFS players is akin to the difference between bad and strong poker players shortly after the poker boom. Lots of people throwing darts. I highly recommend not playing DFS unless you know exactly what you're doing, which you probably don't even if you think you do.
There's a reason that so many pro poker players moved from poker to DFS, and it has nothing (well, maybe a little) to do with black friday--it's because the edge is MUCH bigger, table selection is easier, exploiting poor players is easier, and larger volumes are much more attainable with much less work.
What are the reasons?
For one, my DK name is the same as my PS name, I enjoy the advantages of anonymity that come with both, and that would be lost if I divulged that info here because many people here know my real-life identity.
Dude, just stop.
