Tesla employees ask Elon Musk to resign, confirm massive demand problem, get fired for it— Electrek (@electrek.co) 2025-05-11T19:04:15Z
No one on planet earth except the small percent of racist white Americans that can afford them are buying his shit. And yet, the stock will be north of 350 by the end of the week. So insanely stupid.
can’t wait until I see us military cyber trucks getting owned in combat situations as China overruns us.
Saving Private Ryan DDay scenes but it’s all cyber trucks rolling off the landing boats just instantly disassembling themselves on the beach.
Odd he can’t bump that timeline up by say 19 years or so but a man has to keep his safety net around.
Buffett and Mackenzie Scott give away a ton of money. idk if that makes them good, but better than most.
I don't think all billionaires are bad but the idea of being a billionaire and it being a thing is very bad. It also usually fucks up the brain of people who would have otherwise been normal.
Yea idk where the line of "too much money for one person" is but the idea of one person having hundreds of billions of dollars while we have global housing and hunger issues is just absurd.
The problem with being a billionaire is logically there is a level of human suffering you're ok with before you'll stop being a billionaire
And I realize it's a pipe dream, but I really wish the govt had a clause that capped the profit a business can generate if it's ever taken any govt money. Again, no clue how you'd even draw it up in a perfect world, but the idea that someone can have $300b dollars from a business that was bankrupt without the govt saving it is batshit crazy to me. You need govt help? Ok cool, we'll help, but we're capping what you can make on the backend. If that means that extra profit or shares or whatever goes to the guy on the line putting doors on your trucks is making 300k a year, or you're selling cars for $20k, I couldn't care less. If the govt helps you, the business turns into a wealth sharing program for everyone in the company or for society as a whole, not a money funnel to the owner.
They all think they’re self made and mostly incapable of realizing that their successes are built on the backs of people that actually pay taxes.
Even if they didn’t get bailed out, their success is built on public education, publicly funded infrastructure, government supported housing, government-regulated utilities, government-funded research and development, the post office keeping shipping costs low, etc. People not understanding that the federal government is a partner with literally every successful US business is the issue, and someone needs to explain it.
Paul Allen was pretty cool. He used his Microsoft billions to buy pro sports teams, Jimi Hendrex guitars, a giant yacht that he lent out for deep sea research, and a bunch of philanthropy
lol is this grok / white genocide shit real? (I have no idea, but I'm going to post this anyway) this is the best one imo— bucetalândia (@ancient.fish) 2025-05-14T17:22:12.629Z
I’m convinced that the majority of people asking grok for its take on anything are just hoping to get a hilarious screenshot. Not just recently.
All money is created by Congress to spent in specific ways. You can track where that money ends up. Spoilers: it goes almost entirely to the wealthy. Obscene is 100% a policy choice. Taxes are the way the government can claw that money back and admit it didn’t go where it was supposed to go. But we don’t do that.
It's a feature, not a bug Elon's efforts to alter the algorithm of his AI to suit his needs appears to have completely broken Grok, as it currently cannot stop talking about "white genocide" www.wired.com/story/grok-w...— David Gilbert (@davidgilbert.bsky.social) 2025-05-14T21:07:49.342Z
I had to go over and check for myself that this one was real, but it is— Kieran Healy (@kjhealy.co) 2025-05-14T20:39:09.360Z
