I saw mix’s post and pulled up Twitter. Immediately saw that tweet at the top of my timeline and blocked him. Simple enough.
My Twitter feed is straight up garbage now. I have to scroll forever to find things I’m interested in.
Do you use lists? I find there not much unwanted content on my lists. Some bad retweets from people on the lists are about the only negative.
It's absolutely hilarious that the richest man in the world can't buy the one thing he wants, for the world to think he's cool. He could hire a PR team that could probably accomplish it but he's too much of a narcissist to do that so instead he goes out daily and shows the world just how lame he is.
I had wondered why one of his idiot tweets continued to be atop my news feed or whatever the fuck. Found a button saying block him. Feeling pretty pretty good owning his dumb ass! Thanks guys!
I'm surprised he isn't like MySpace Tom, just an auto follow for all Twitter users. i would give it a week before that's the case.
Guys like him and Bezos could literally end world hunger with pocket change. They could be gods to millions more people with real actions to back it up. But they choose not to
I guess this is the Twitter catch-all thread now, apparently that rad_milk guy got killed by the cops for coming at his wife with a sword (??)
I hate all of this, but I would really hate to know who the brunette is there. I feel like someone should let her know she's in an Elon meme, and I volunteer to do that.
isn’t that Sasha Grey? edit: apparently it’s not. original image uploaded to instagram by user soska_117 in 2017
Twitter is broken again. Would he cool if the CEO cared more about a product that worked instead of trying to be friends with someone named patriotgal1776 or CatShit
You misinterpret his actions. He doesn’t want to actually be friends with them. He doesn’t care about anyone as clearly demonstrated by how he treats people. He wants to be Twitter friends with them because he thinks it will make him more liked by more people. Everything he does is because he has severe insecurity issues, and we are all suffering because of it.
I was thinking after seeing what’s happened to Twitter how an amazing it is that Teslas only catch fire and trap you in and run over children. Somehow it should be much worse.
This is a fascinating look into the absolutely bonkers errors in judgment that some of these "twitter files" reporters engaged in. One of the reporters actually says "I wish I would have contacted other people before publishing." Holy hell, and yes I did watch the entire thing.
Also, if you want to just skip to an interesting part, around the 1:40 mark, the journalists get accused of basically doing PR for Musk and have no defense. One of the authors agrees that he should have reached out to involved parties for comment. Leighton Woodhouse then legitimately says that he bears no responsibility for 85% of the public believing that the “Twitter files” show the opposite of most of his conclusions. It’s batshit insane.
