Yea it's just insane and idk why an investor in the company would vote for it other than to worship that weirdo. It's dumb that some CEO's make $50m but $50b is just absurd. The company might be able to make a functioning truck by investing that money into the company.

 

I'm sure their board is like any non-profit's relationship with their CEO. They rubber stamp anything he wants and in return he does them favors like using their pesticide company for bugs or contacts their environmental services or whatever

The number was basically backed into to get his ownership back above a certain threshold that gives him the power to veto anything and make any shareholder resolution dead on arrival. No governance issues here…

Right, but they could issue/sell stock and raise money to use for the company instead of just giving it to the already really rich guy. Or just not do it at all and have less stock so the shares the investors own are worth more. Issuing $55b in stock just to give it to the already really rich guy is super cuck behavior. It makes no sense for anyone but Elon.

 

They’re giving him the right to buy shares at $23. Over the course of Tesla’s existence their total profit is ~40b
