The dumb part of this argument is that it could have easily been called offside in the pre VAR days, with no chance to take a second look.
I don’t think that’s easily called offside by any linesman. If anything they were always told to favor offense in 50/50 calls. That looked onside to the naked eye.
ESPN did a breakdown at the end of the season and there were 5 clubs that benefited more from VAR than LFC last season. They were only +2. I don’t understand the narrative that they were so lucky with VAR last season
That’s enough being nice to Livid today. I just had to get that off my chest LiVARpool never made sense to me. We all know it’s VARchester United
I can see why they’d interpret Mane’s shoulder/arm being offside. Not saying it was right or makes sense.
I’m speaking for myself only, but when I allude to the breaks going Liverpool’s way I’m referencing more than VAR. Stuff like Pickford dropping a ball right to a Liverpool player on the goal line I count as a break.
I agree, there were a bunch of close games where something (freak or accident) went our way last season, but still blows when a game should have ended up 3 points in favor
If my team had just lost their last match by five (5) goals, and came away w a road draw at the first place team, I’d be pretty thrilled right now. but that’s just me
Thiago seemed like he was moving around alright after Richarlson tried to break his leg. But it was only a couple minutes so who knows. Hope he’s OK because he’s a joy to watch
i have extremely limited livid sympathies but Everton’s nonsense today really drained the underdog neutral support imo
