To be fair he was literally the only guy with any talent on offense last night. No Ridley or Patterson and it’s Pitts and the bad news bears so easy to double and triple him.
How on earth are we blaming this on Pitts? We lack talent everywhere and lost 2 of our only good players
When you are completely devoid of any talent, you take what’s there and build on it. I’m sure 10 years in if Pitts is having a Julio level career no one will regret taking him after building a team. We can’t sign free agents right now because of the cap hell. We aren’t in win now mode and glad we got a stud instead of another first rd bust like every time we draft someone on the DL.
Under no circumstances should you ever take at tight end with the 4th pick in the draft. None. If you’re picking that high, you’re taking a QB, OT, Edge, or maybe CB. That’s it.
He’s basically a WR and he was BPA. We are playing Sharpe, Zaccheus, and Gage. We need help catching balls as much as any other position.
Our coach seems to think we were in a win now mode. And You generally don’t built a team around a WR especially when we have no OL or DL and an aging QB.
The Falcons need way more help on both LOS than they do catching balls. The OL is arguably the worst in the league. The DL would be the worst without Grady. They’re also highly unlikely to have a golden opportunity to draft Ryan’s successor fall in their laps again. It’s gross mismanagement reminiscent of a TD draft.
I’d agree with trading back, but the first DL was taken at 21. OL we had great success drafting guys in the first rd that stink. In last draft it was basically QB, WR/Pitts, or Sewell. Feel like I heard Sewell wasn’t doing very good either.
