I will always admit that the second half kind of falls off, but that first 75mins is so good that I don't really care
I don't mean to overrate/overhype but the first 75mins are genuinely some of the best filmmaking of all time
PSH rightfully receives a ton of praise of his role in Along Came Polly (a movie I love and rewatched earlier today) but Baldwin turns in an equally amazing performance. The entire scene with him in the bathroom with Stiller is amazing but him rubbing Reuben’s ears after aggressive shaking his dick is just amazing.
Baldwin’s wedding speech is also perfect. “Oh and Lisa, don’t wear him out too much on the honeymoon if you know what I mean” while jerking off the mic and then they cut to a mortified bride and then PSH who is the only person in the entire room laughing his ass off. That’s a perfect bit if you ask me.
Companion, The Brutalist, or any other new movies out on streaming? Missed a ton of good ones and wife and I are looking to play catch up while kiddo is out of town
Amy good gorilla, complete with hand signals, is something I say to my wife all the time. Tim Curry is so damn good in this, what a treasure (pun partly intended).
Man Sing Sing is incredible, it’s a joke that it was not up for Best Picture while inane bullshit like Wicked is
https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/glen-powell-may-star-texas-225347166.html After over 50 years and nine films along the way, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is reportedly up for another revival. And Twisters star Glen Powell is reportedly interested in taking part, if a highly respected horror filmmaker joins the project. According to Deadline, multiple directors and screenwriters are eager to get their hands on Texas Chainsaw Massacre, one of the first slasher horror franchises. Strange Darlings director and screenwriter JT Mollner is said to be the one that Powell has shown interest in working with, but neither are formally attached to the project. There’s also no guarantee that either of them will be involved, as studios including Lionsgate and A24 may put together their own packages of directors and stars for the revival.
This reminded me that I recently watched Virtuosity for like the first time in over 20 years when it was one of the hotel movie options - did not realize Kaley Cuoco was the little girl.
I once again got stuck next to a theater and chose to watch this today and totally agree. Paddington 2 is a perfect ten for me so I wasn't expecting it to match that anyway I have now gone to more movies in the last 24 hours than the previous eight years combined
a little more hit mans and a little less ip land, glenny also, i didnt care for strange darling at all, so mollners potential inclusion aint helping me none
