Does anyone know when the full Serie A schedule is usually released? I’m going to be in Italy from August 20-30 and told a friend that’s coming with that we could try and catch a game. In researching, I found this: “The 2024-25 Serie A season is set to kick off on the weekend of August 17, but we won’t know the exact dates for Week 4 games until after August 30. The confirmation came from Andrea Butti, who is Head of Competitions and Operations Serie A, when he spoke to Telelombardia. The next campaign will be even more packed than usual, because the expanded Champions League format involves 36 teams and eight games per squad in the first phase alone. Butti confirmed that the 2024-25 Serie A season will begin on the weekend of August 17-18 and that three rounds will be played on August 24-25 and August 31-September 1 before the break for international duty.” We’ll be in Florence during that 8/24-25 window, so hoping the club there has a home game. I figured as much, which is a bit of a problem. We have a pretty packed agenda already so we’d likely need to cancel something to go. By July, everything on the itinerary will be booked. Guess we’ll just have to play it by ear, but I hope we can make it happen.
