Anybody else watch it? Those Scientology people are insane and I believe almost everything the documentary brought up. One question though, if Paul Haggis said they were against homosexuals, it was odd to me that be inferred that they were blackmailing Travolta because of his rumored homosexuality. Very well done otherwise
Good question, but Scientology will do anything they can to attack you and in this case it was done to keep him in the Church. He's the second biggest name in the church, so it would be a huge blow for them to lose him.
I knew a lot of the stuff going into it, but still one of the most fascinating documentaries I have ever watched.
It's pretty crazy that anyone buys into that "religion" when its creator is quoted as saying something to the effect of "if you want to make money, start a religion"
The celebratory posing they did with the IRS officials after getting tax free status made me want to puke.
If a religion tells you to stay away from family members because they don't like your decision to join with them, that should be a huge red flag that you're fucking with the wrong kind of people.
Thought it was overhyped. A lot of this stuff is already known. I was a little disappointed in it. Was expecting more shocking stuff.
