So the GF and I are going to be in London in a couple of weeks and I got tickets to the Fulham v. Swansea match. Have no idea wtf to expect. Am I going to get knifed? Anyone else ever been to a premier league match? Anything I should know?
lol at getting knifed anywhere around Craven Cottage, it's upper class London. Like rich as fuck. Make sure you get there a couple of hours early. Take the underground to the Putney Bridge station and it's a nice walk to the stadium. From Putney Bridge walk to the river then walk through Fulham Palace Gardens to Craven Cottage, or go away from the River until you get to Fulham High Street (which turns into Fulham Palace Road -- holy shit I'm still laughing about you thinking you'll get knifed) and take a left. The pubs are a few blocks down after you pass Craven Cottage. When I was last there a couple of years ago there was a team gift shop on the way where you can buy team merchandise. If you're not a fucking faggit you won't want to be walking in a ManU or Liverpool or Chelsea kit anyway. Edit: just saw you're a bama fan so enjoy your ManU shirt. FYI you aren't allowed to have beer in the stands and they don't sell it during the match. At halftime there's a mad rush to get under the stands where guys are selling beers out of backpacks, so chug as many as you can.
Knifed in Fulham? Maybe if it's 1987 and we're talking about Millwall being away to Chelsea. If you get off at the Fulham Broadway stop you can check out Stamford Bridge as well if you're interested. It's also on the District Line, same as Putney Bridge.
