@richarddeitsch: SI Exclusive: Fox Sports is grooming Gus Johnson to be the voice of the 2018 World Cup: http://t.co/GU2QVkkk Best news of the day. Love Gus Johnson.
They have CL through 2015. I can't wait to see the bids for that between bein/espn/fox/NBC When are the Bundesliga rights available? Seems like espn and fox would be wise to fight it out for that. Edit: google says 2015 for that as well. That blows, directv doesn't even offer English goltv anymore I don't think.
I love Gus but this is way too "square peg, round hole" Spoiler John Terry says he could make it work
I wanted to kill myself listening to Strahan explain the United-Barca CL final. I just can't imagine how unbearable this will be.
Bayern played in both, so maybe that's why you're mixing them up. I'm pretty sure TheSkeeter is right on this one
I couldn't watch Bayern Inter though and I remember seeing him last year when I was watching the fox feed for a bit
Hopefully they will set aside some time for Strahan to further break down "football vs. futbol" for us.
It's certainly possible that he's done it all 3 years. I just remember watching that one and raging. I'm pretty sure that was the first year Fox took over the CL broadcast rights after ESPN had them, so maybe that's why it sticks out in my mind.
It's amazing that Fox and FSC don't really utilize Bobby McMahon at all really anymore. Even on that Fox Soccer News, he just does a small segment and Thomas Rongen is the main analyst on the show. I prefer The Express on beIN and ESPNFC on ESPNNEWS to that newer Fox Soccer News. Oh well, FSC only has about 7 months before it's no more in the U.S.
