I guess it was kind of pointless in terms of the story, but i liked the whole prophecy thing, even though it was obvious it was harry not neville. I'd say 7,4,6,3,5,1,2. I liked two a lot when i read it, but compared to the rest of the books it was just lame. Also I'm probably going to cry when doby and fred die, and I am not ashamed of that at all.

Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer my problem with the series, and i may have written this a few pages back because i complain about it a lot, is that harry just wasnt that great of a wizard. good skills + bravery should not > great skills. compare the dumbledore-voldemort fight (if thats the standard for what the g.o.a.t. wizard duel is) to harrys and hes a fraud. even comparing his father/his father's friends... making the mauraders map + becoming an animagus is greater than anything, from a purely magical perspective, than anything harry did. look at snape's potions text book to see how much he was learning... he allegedly becomes this great auror at the conclusion of the story.... but does he just use stunning spells in every duel? dude shouldve been a prodigy-type wizard, not just good.
Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer Well the point of the entire series was to stress the fact that Harry, this skinny orphan kid, was NOT a prodigy but still had to endure all he did at the hands of Voldemort with nothing but above average skills, friends and bravery etc. Writing him out to be the next Dumbledore would have cheapened the entire series and all the characters in it. There would have been no need for Hermione Granger, no need for the Weasley family and no need for the epicness that is Dumbledore if Harry was this genius wizard that could have solved everything based on his own intellect and skill and took on Voldemort by himself at the age of 11. The fact that Harry WASN'T a prodigy like Voldemort thought was the entire foundation of the story imo, had Voldemort known that this Harry Potter kid would have grown up to only be a decent Quidditch player that was pretty good at Defense Against the Dark Arts, he wouldn't have even bothered murdering his parents and Harry would have grown up to be exactly that, a normal kid. But since he did, 7 books worth of stories happened where we read about how this normal kid wizard who was left homeless has to carry the burden of defeating the most powerful dark wizard of all time while also dealing with life as normal and growing up through the awkward teenage years. /2cents

Re: Harry Potter 7 Trailer I think the best explanation of what happened at the end was just...destiny, like Dumbledore said in the King's Cross chapter, Harry and Voldemort's physical and magical bond were beyond any of what has previously been experimented with, and because Harry chose the "right way" to face death, he was able to have that perfect moment of clarity where everything that happened in book 6-7 made sense to him, the whole deal with the Elder Wand and its true master and whatnot. In conclusion, the last few chapters of book 7 = GOAT writing and creativity

I think I watched the third movie and was really into so I said fuck it and started reading them all. Blew my mind and how retarded I was being for not reading them. My favorites go like this. 7,6,4,5,3,1,2 I really liked 4. New trailer looks bad ass. I'll have to re read the 7th book. I'm still considering reading them all before the final movie gets here.

Reading about Umbridge made me want to kill myself. My only qualm with the serious is how Harry only used stunning spells. He's fighting dark witches throwing avada kadavra or whatever at him and hes countering with stupefy and other bullshit.

Reason why book 7 being 2 movies is great for them financially and great for us from a perspective of it will follow the storyline even closer.

But as far as stand alone movies are concerned, the others were better. The most disappointing movie is easily half blood prince. Not only did they leave out so many important parts vital to the 7th book/movie, but the movie as a whole was extremely slow and dull. I still mad about the scene at the Burrow. It was completely made up and served absolutely no purpose.
