    My good friend’s son who is a young hip hop producer in the Bay Area just sold 4 beats to E-40 for 8k. He was in such awe at first that E-40 reached out to him to begin with that he said he was selling all 4 for 1k total, E-40 says nah that’s not the fair market value and then says I’m paying you 2k a beat for a total of 8k. He then calls him personally to give him some advice and tell him he wants to stay tapped in with him for the future. A real one for sure

    When it comes to just rapping…

    Cadence, delivery, wordplay, voice.. it’s hard to top Mike, Jay Electronica and Bun B in my eyes. There’s rappers that enjoy the ideas and the music more but those three appeal to my sensibilities the most from a technical standpoint
