one guy i really like in next year’s draft is kyle “KyWri” wright out of vandy. think he can be a really good starter for us

 

Last year's group just started playing this week. Not sure if these guys will follow the same path or not.

I thought I saw someone on Twitter with Maitan ranked 3rd behind only Swanson and Newcomb

 

I like Gondee but the top ~20 he posted on Twitter earlier was laughable.

-Albies and Swanson are clearly our top two prospects. Having Albies at 4 isn't smart.
-Pretty obvious Sims is a reliever at this point considering how much he's battled control problems. Why is he top 5? Not sure he should even be top 10...
-Not even sure what to say about Peterson at 6. He's a nice prospect and all, but that seems about 10 spots too high.
-Reports coming out Soroka might be our best prospect, and gondee has him at 10

 

I thought it was high as well, just interesting.

Interesting story via @Jim_Powell- ATL exec Gordon Blakely has made 12 trips to Venezuela in 2016. At all times he had 2 fully armed guards.

 

Good thing they weren't partially armed

 

Because Chipper needs to be on page 1.

 

Heard for the past month we had Maitan in a safe house in Miami away from other teams. Teams were then trying to fly to Venezuela and deal with his family instead

 

They were still a little nervous about it this morning. Was told there was good bit of happy shouting around the Florida facility when 9 am rolled around.
