Make no mistake, this Mets team is better and more consistent than what we have. Not having Freddie has been glaring in this series. There’s just no steadying presence with this team and in this lineup. Hopefully Olson grows into that, but so far he’s one of the guys.
We trail in every game against them and when we get a lead we can barely hang on. It’s fucking awful to watch. Ready to see three shit ABs in our half inning.
I lean more towards having to play Ozuna, Rosario, Demeritte, Duvall, Arcia, etc. for major stretches this season is the bigger reason. Injuries and roster construction are more the culprit this season.
Yea Freddie is the far superior player today. Hopefully Olson comes into his own more, because he doesn’t look like the straw that stirs the drink now.
I wish one of their players would go flipping into the stands on a ground ball just to make me feel better about our guys.
idc how bad olson is. i am just thankful to not have a racist dickhead dork on the team anymore. eat shit frauddie
Scherzer/Degrom are basically untouchable. We can discount their lineup and call it lucky hits or whatever but that 1/2 is the best in baseball.
That's fine. I don't expect them to make much noise in October with their lineup. It isn't very good regardless of how we've made them look.
Remember in '19 when we beat the shit out of the Nats head-to-head down the stretch to win the division, and then they won the World Series? Yeah, that's what I've switched to telling myself is going to happen.
If it seems shit Dansby has returned since the AS break its because he seemingly has. He’s hitting a cool .226 since the break.
Not unrealistic. Their lineup is not good, but we consistently look like absolute idiots against them
I wouldn’t say it’s bad. The top half is more than serviceable and their bottom order hitters at least watch pitches.
Missing Fraudie might be part of it, but it’s not entirely the problem. This team lacks balls which he didn’t necessarily provide
It’s a multitude of things. Acuna not being healthy, no Oz, etc. But at the end of the day he was always a tough AB for the opposing pitcher, Olson is not that.
I mean we are in a better spot right now than this time last year so I’m not totally sure what Freddie has to do with anything. The Mets are just way better than they were last year.
