My wife just completely hates sports. I think I prefer it that way. Any of your significant others like sports with you? Do you wish it was just a solitary thing for yourself or do you like having that in common?
@DTO I am open to the idea of not giving you shit about Iowa anymore if you write a lengthy JoRoW poast about the time you wrestled your wife's Muslim hawkeye dad on the barroom floor for control of the family
My GF is the same way, she has no interest in sports at all really. The only time I wish it was different would be a random night where I’m just looking for something to do and going to a random game would achieve that. That and I guess maybe having any form of response when I mention the Huskers would be cool once in awhile lol she usually just ignores me. 99% of the time I’m fine with it though because it gives me my “own” thing, and I feel like if I go watch it with friends (or alone) I won’t feel like I’m leaving her behind. I don’t need it to be some huge event to go a Husker game so it probably is easier on me than if I had someone wanting to tailgate all day or take a bunch of pictures during the game or whatever normal couples do lol
I just remembered this tim a very eyeball injected Kent Pavelka said "let's Jewett" when the game was on the line and in came Farts' #1 ice man I was too injected to laugh hard enough at that at the time, but did make a bookmark to come back to it later.
My tessa loves sports and knows what she's talking about. It's great because I'm never nagged about watching the game instead of wanting to do ___________________.
Dean, Does Duce have any relation to Joey? If so, he could come talk to the locker room about having a championship mindset.
Wife was a college athlete. Same. She tends to let me off the hook on house/demon spawn help when games are on. It’s nice.
my wife doesn’t like sports but she tolerates it very well. I would guess her favorite would be watching golf which blows my mind. Oh and I love it. She pretty much has given up all rights to the remote as I am just better at finding entertainment.
I’m usually right with you BigRedEazy but we have a fucking Apple TV Remote and I’m an absolute dope with it. My tv in the basement has a Roku remote like a reasonable human
As a hypothetical, if Nebraska could only have one between Casey returning, Jeff Sims, or Hornsby, which would be the best option? My gut says Casey.
I love that my wife can talk about cfb and is super knowledgeable. She'll pick a random team each year to follow other than the huskers just for fun. When QB1 was on we followed all of the qbs college careers, I think Sam Hartman was the last one from that show and she talked about how bummed she was cause QB1 isn't still a show. It's fuckin awesome.
Although Hornsby is :holyfuck: tier fast so I hope like hell we can get him here in some non-QB capacity
Also, regarding the scholarship QBs, I’m a bit surprised that at least one between Purdy, Haarberg, and Torres hasn’t entered the p*rthole yet.
Probably wanna let the spring play out before they see where they land depth chart wise. However, from the sounds of it Haarberg and Torres are probably FCS?
I think this is the case. I don’t remember either having much p5 interest out of high school. Either of them could benefit for actual coaching
My wife likes the Gators. It pisses me off so much. She also has a Miami shirt she wears sometimes and it’s embarrassing bc random guys will yell “THE U!!!” And throw their hands up at her. Spoiler She was a Husker cheerleader
1. CT 2. Sims Hornsby is a worse passing Jammal Lord, don't want unless he's moving to WR. Great athlete, can't pass the ball a lick.
My wife attended the Colorado Hail Mary at the Big House. It was her first ever college football game in-person (not that she’d ever watch a game on tv) and she thinks games that don’t end as dramatically are boring…imagine trying to get her to sit through a Rutgers game. Though, to be fair, it’s been pretty hard even for me the last couple (10ish) years.
He was our best freshman by a mile. Really good LB. He's the only one I'm upset that went into the portal.
More than likely this. It was cool seeing a true fresh LB get snaps, but if we were even decent he would've RS and benefited greatly. He'll be good at Michigan with some legit coaching and some time to develop.
He was the only one that played worth a shit during the Michigan game. He had that big stick in the hole where your player didn’t fall forward for more yards for the like 1 time all game. By the end of the year he was arguably a top 3 defensive player. Says a lot about him and our team as a whole.
