There's several like that that would be good contributors if they came back. John Bullock is another. So is Nick Henrich. Also Blaise Gunnerson is listed as a sophomore and walked on senior day.

One thing I always laugh about is how our fans just give everything Nebraska does the benefit of the doubt. some of my friends are getting torqued up about Will Howard. His worst games were against good teams. He would raise our floor but not our ceiling and I don’t think he raises our power rating at all compared to a healthy purdy. Could use him in the room but he ain’t worth a million imo. but I’m sure since he went to kstate our fans will assume he rides a combine to the practice facility and is a great “cultural” fit!
If we had a healthy Purdy for the full season, we would be in a bowl game right now. I can’t speak to what Howard’s ceiling looks like, and I’m not going to die on this hill, but I’d be content with someone like him. We aren’t going to pull in someone looking to win a Heisman trophy but pay whatever the donors have. It’s not my money so I don’t mind a few blank checks.
