I think Nebraska is a good fit for him. He's significantly better than anything I've seen in your room for awhile. He's not going to lead you to the playoff but I think he'd win 8ish games.
We probably win 7 games this year if a qb could handle a shotgun snap and run into the line without fumbling the ball. ain’t nobody talking about playoff, we just want somebody that can occasionally throw an out route and not hilariously give the ball away like it’s a soup kitchen.
We have a white walk on who drops 50% of passes, a TE who’s torn his ACL/snapped his leg twice, a fullback that appears to be 6’3 210….and a few promising freshmen that at least can run fast.

mccord gets you to 7-8 wins pretty easily this year i think. not sure what you have coming back next season, but based on what i saw from nebraska this year, mccord would have been a fairly significant upgrade at qb. he's fine, he just isn't cj stroud or justin fields.
