Lol Graham tried his hardest not to say “proud of these guys, but Gary the left rear gun guy can eat a dick and die”
Late to this, but what a race. Really hoping IndyCar can capitalize on all these talented young drivers. Have to get a better TV partner.
Lots of empty seats and the snake pit looked pretty small. Better than it had been, though. Hoping to get back on the horse in 2023. It’s sucked not going the last couple of years.
I watched the last ten laps with my three year old glued to the tv. I can’t wait to bring him to the race just like my dad used to do with me. Probably 3 years to go, I’m thinking 6 or 7 for him.
Same. My son turned 3 about 2 months ago and I’m going to take him to one of the Iowa Indycar races next month. I think I was 15 when I went for the first time to the 500. Got thrown off the deep end into carb day drunkenness and debauchery, Georgetown on Saturday night, and the whole bit.
Late here but i watch mostly NASCAR but keep up with indy car and will watch a few here and there. Anyway I thought that was a pretty damn good race on Sunday
indycar starts this weekend in st. pete. honestly, this should be one of the most competitive, entertaining seasons in recent memory and a real step forward for indycar. penske is slowly but surely using its resources to improve the series. f1's popularity has helped a ton, as well.
The Barber race here in Birmingham is always amazing. I was going to try to do Nashville, but I was pretty surprised how expensive it would be. Wasn't an unfair amount, but basically Barber is the price of going to a minor league game.
barber looks awesome. i'd like to do Road America in Wisconsin at some point. going to the 500 this year after having to sell my season tickets the last few years because of weddings
Probably doing the Iowa Indy double. It’s going to be stupid hot, but I generally get indoor club tickets to get out of the sun when the race isn’t running. They’ve got some big name concerts each day, too. Might try to do the 500. Trying to do F1 Vegas, so that might burn all my race/game credit for the year with my wife. Iowa doesn’t count against my cap being local.
Andretti in shambles. Colton Herta not getting that super license any time soon at this rate. I feel bad, but tremendous content.
i watched f1, indycar, and nascar yesterday and the indycar race was the most entertaining--crazy race
Not a fan of the look of the aero screens vs the f1 style halo, but that may have made a difference in this. A couple years ago he’d have gotten wheldon’d
Headed to the 500 Sunday, decided to get seats in Turn 4 with good view of front stretch, seems like these are highly regarded seats from a viewing perspective. Gonna listen to the radio broadcast through my 3m worktunes hearing protectors.
just starting the race and I can't stop laughing at this goober song kicking things off yes it's my first time watching
I haven’t watched Indy in years but having turned on just now I’m amazed there aren’t three pit lane deaths per race
I mean, that looked like it missed by feet. Hope it didn’t hit anybody outside the grandstand. Holy shit.
That was feet away from being a huge tragedy. Looks like the tire caught the fence on the outside or possibly hit the parked vehicles. Either way tomorrows safety meeting just became #1 priority and a huge sigh of relief.
