Not sure if this was posted in the early pages...I live in South Florida and the Elian Gonzalez story was followed unbelievably close down here...such a ridiculous story to begin with, but here was when they basically got sick of the shit and stormed the house
yeah it was posted early on. That situation was so overblown, I can't believe how big of a deal it became.
really? shit i didn't even think of that. shut the fuck up faggot fuck, if you aren't going to contribute shit, get the fuck out.
please remove the sand out of your vagina next time you post. most of the stuff you've posted had been touched on before so stop acting like you're walter cronkite
Korea DMZ before they built the fences, right after the war ended. North Koreans on the left, Americans on the right.
I remember seeing something on the history channel about how there's still one spot in the DMZ that is like this. Apparently one of the requirements for our soldiers to be stationed in that spot is for them to be at least 6'4". Its meant to intimidate and give the impression that we're "giants" since Koreans are so small.
Doubtful, we are no longer on the DMZ. The only thing we knew about was that the South Koreans had to be 6' or more for JSA guard duty and be black belts in Tae Kwon Do. ROKA now mans everything. The four bases I worked out of have been closed or taken over by the ROKA. Americans still go into the JSA, but more are tourists than military, and those mostly brass. The northern most US base is Casey/Hovey, where I also spent time.
from wars that i'm familiar with, i'd probably rank them 1a. American Civil War 1b. WWI 2. Iran-Iraq War
if you ever want to a fascinating read, try "Killing Pablo" about the life of and hunt for Pablo Escobar. Amazing how much effort went into hunting and killing this man. The guy was making so much money, sometimes he would purposely send a few tons of cocaine somewhere to where he knew it would be captured so he could send a larger shipment in somewhere else. He had so much money, he organized the terms of his own "imprisonment." He built the jail, hired the guards, sat around, ate, played soccer and smoked weed all day. They shot him on a roof top. Los Pepes (short for perseguidos por pablo escobar) were essentially mercenary death squads who helped crush Pablo's network by killing anyone and everyone that associated with Pablo. Some people say they killed 300 people, some say they killed more.
I always thought Nam simply seemed the scariest with the patrols and booby traps and what not. Kind of the same with the fighting in the Pacific during WWII. Also I've thought that in terms of sheer brutality/terror it seems that WWII in Europe and Africa may not have been as rough as those jungle battles. I still think the thing I'd be least interested in doing is any fighting pre-gunpowder when guys had swords and shields and hacked each other to pieces
Shit...was just about to post my favorite stills from RollerGames...including the infamous match between the Los Angeles T-Birds and Bad Attitude when "Mizz" Georgia Hase was tossed into the alligator pit during overtime!
So I shouldn't post pictures of the classic 900 series bowled by Jeremy Sonnenfeld of Lincoln, NE? Ok got it.
Nazi Propaganda Posters: "The Jew: The inciter of war, the prolonger of war." Before World War II began, Germans were allowed to listen to foreign radio broadcasts. This was banned once the war began, and by the end of the war people were executed for listing to enemy radio stations. In this poster, probably a Marxist broadcasts from London, Moscow, and other enemy states, while a German listens in the darkness, trying to conceal his crime. "The enemy sees your light! Black out!" This in the later stages of the war as Allied aerial bombings increased
Austrian troops on the Galician Front - World War I 1918 Armored Cars One of the first Tanks ever produced Trench Warfare RUN MOTHA FUCKA!!
They were really getting fucked up towards the end. British were bombing by day and we were bombing them at night. Third Reich was getting its shit pushed in and they were looking for any little thing to help out.
