Alaba would be the natural choice but he too has been hurt. My guess is that Ceballos resurgence and the desire to get Camavinga as many minutes as possible means they’re willing to be flexible with his positioning. Even still there are a LOT of matches the next 2 months and tons of minutes to eat up & Garcia has proven that while he may not solve the long term problem of finding an elite LB he’s more than capable of playing league matches and providing some much needed depth.
that's an awesome gift and a great selection and that's really cool your dad is a fan of the game, my dad still thinks soccer is the compromise you make to keep your effeminate son from taking up the arts after he shows no interest in football
it has its ups and downs. It’s about all he does in retirement which means I need to keep up with a lot if I want to have anything to talk to him about. Otherwise it’s one-sided updates on how Chelsea’s midfield is doing or the terminal decline of Serie A or whatever.
other than the Champions League it's probably the most prestigious trophy in the game so its nice to win it an 8th time
Elche fucking sucks but its nice to see them aggressively take the game on rather than opening slowly for the millionth time this season.
god that was badly needed because they were on the verge of blowing this wide open need to settle in finally
he's young and black and because of the way he plays he's a magnet for fouls & excessive contact as much of Spain has decided to use the Bo Ryan "they can't call them all" method of defending.
Alaba and Rodrygo out for the next 2-4 weeks and will miss the derbi, 1st leg of the CdR semis and quite probably the return leg against Liverpool
yeah it wasn’t to the head but it was a deliberately thrown elbow while the ball was out of play like 25 yards away from any action
Some outrageous, individual world class performances from Benzema, Vini, Courtois and Rodrygo being the best goal scorer in the universe for a 7 minute span have really papered over a TON of inconsistency and lackadaisical play the last few years. Once again they’re incapable of breaking down another low block which has been their Achilles heel for like the last 5 years. In addition to two starting caliber fullbacks they need a positive, ball carrying midfielder that can attack the lines and an actual 9 to compliment/spell Karim.
I think either could be but both have shown promise in other roles. And a more central & advanced role also limits a portion of the strengths in Fede’s speed down the flank and Camavinga’s ball winning/2 way ability. The current setup and formation also has something to do with that.
damn that was a great run of play from start to finish, Benzema didnt need to drift off there either as that ball played him into plenty of space its only the CdR but I really want to beat these assholes and regain some confidence for push down the homestretch
