He’s just throwing fucked up posts at the wall, has been for a while. Basically a 4chan poster at this point
I truly empathize with his trauma but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s been a god awful human being for the past decade.
Kanye lasted 7 minutes on his Twitch debut before being banned. threw out multiple uses of the f-word, "fuck these Jews", and a HH to boot. 7 minutes of extreme, untreated mental illness
aging with a history of traumatic brain injury and drug addiction are as likely culprits as mental illness iyam
His narcissism paired with having millions of people enabling and praising his bad behavior for years is probably enough on its own to manifest a mental illness.
with the brain injury likely the biggest factor someone without his fame and resources would've been sent to a psychiatric facility years ago and probably just never released
Brain injury? From the car wreck or something else? Don't think I've read about that. I know he's been rumored to use nitrous and that'll probably melt a brain.
I've read up on it a couple of times. Details are kind of hard to come by. It was called "near fatal" and that he sustained a head injury. We know his jaw was shattered, needed a metal plate and was wired shut and he had nasal fractures so I'm guessing his head contacted the steering wheel. If he did sustain significant brain injuries, we've seen you never know what you're going to get from someone coming out of the other side of something like that
I didn’t watch either but apparently he actually samples Hitler in the song and talks about being a cuckold. So yeah
Released a song that includes comments about when he became a nazi and has "heil hitler" in the chorus.
As an old white guy who considers Rappers' Delight or Blondie's Rapture to be best rap, wtf happened to this genre? Thats fucking terrible
I do think current rap is in a bit of a rough place, but that has nothing to do with the 35+ year olds who Prospector knows from 2010.
I peruse the top of the rap charts about once a month. Although one can say the best rap can be found in other places, I think it is a pretty good job of informing me about what is being consumed by most listeners.
Perusing the top of any charts right now just isn't going to show you the best music. Country music is fucking phenomenal right now, but you'd never know it if you only listened to the radio and top of the charts stuff.
That's an awful way to judge how it's going. Even with that said, Kendrick, Doechii, and Tyler have been all over those charts and they're very good to great.
Can we merge this with the Antonio Brown thread and make it the official death pool thread? Seems fitting.
Kendrick and Tyler are in their mid to late 30s, breh. I said "current rap," which I took to mean new and popular. I'm aware there are great artists throughout every genre. I love getting deep into genres, subgenres, and niche shit. But the health of a genre, I think, can be fairly judged by seeing what is most popular and involves younger artists.
