she actually is/was recovering from planned (abdominal) surgery. she had that mid-January and returned home two weeks later (William visited exactly once, the day after her surgery). there was no emergency visit to the hospital from anything I can find. they also outright said when they announced her surgery plans that she was expected to be out until after Easter but this news got buried because hours later it was announced Charles underwent surgery for an enlarged prostate. reading the timeline of events, I'm almost defaulting to this all just being shit timing i.e. she's fine, things are going as planned in that area but the combination of her total absence as she convalesces and the edited pic have caused a conspiracy uproar. the woman probably saw the recovery as a chance to fuck off from the world for a little and be with her kids so she took it. idk, maybe it's more complicated but I kind of doubt it. we'll probably find out eventually and the answer will be boring.

I mean, I said this in my very first post itt. they don't owe it to anybody and she deserves privacy for dealing with health issues if she wants it but yea, more updates would have perhaps helped. the sane thing to do would be to go "oh, look, they said she's having surgery and will be out for a few months" and then maybe if it's May and there's still radio silence then you start asking more questions. this conspiracy didn't start because of the photo, the photo simply exacerbated the situation. they specifically went out of their way to tell people she'd be out for awhile and less than halfway through it people went nuts and went "where is she? nobody knows!" so what's to be done when those are the people you're trying to placate?
