It’s always funny when Henderson gets the ball in the box and we need just the slightest bit of creativity to create danger in the box and he can’t do it
Well keep the pressure on at least. Going to need a massive fuck up from Newcastle or United. Don’t see them dropping points in two games.
Can anybody briefly explain to me the UCL situation? do we need Manchester or Newcastle to drop points in multiple games to get top four? Does it become top-five into UCL if City wins it this year?
The only way to get into the UCL for us is by finishing top 4 in points. The EPL does not get an extra spot if City wins it. Newcastle (3 matches): vs. Brighton, vs. Leicester, at Chelsea Man United (3 matches): at Bournemouth, vs. Chelsea, vs. Fulham Liverpool (2 matches): vs. Aston Villa, at Southampton
Brighton and Chelsea are likely our best bets. But we have to take care of business first and foremost.
Naby just kept getting hurt. Which he can’t control. His national team coach playing him constantly when he was injured didn’t help. Gini was was also just a better option when he was still at Liverpool as well. At the time, Aquilani was basically the entire transfer budget and then he just moaned about wanting to go back to Italy and we couldn’t sell him.
I do think that the change in system and playing a 3-2-2-3, a 3-4-3, or Trent as an inverted right back or whatever you want to call it, and Curtis Jones's form after his weird stress injury has changed what the needs are in the summer. Fabinho looks so much better with Trent beside him when we lose the ball. We have to build the team around Trent.
Still think getting a Fabinho backup would be ideal. But with the rise of Curtis Jones I think upgrading Jordan Henderson is the main concern.
still the biggest flop since aquilani I’d say Naby is the bigger flop as we waited multiple transfer windows for him and the fee we paid
Aquilani cost Rafa his job. If H&G would have given Rafa money, I don't think he would have ever been here
I tried telling you guys. Newcastle deserve top 4. I never saw a chance they or United dropped enough points. Especially with how shit Chelsea are.
I think the link might be bad as opposed to it being deleted. Klopp at his press conference saying “very hard to see Kelleher leaving. Would take a ridiculous offer to even get my attention”
No Darwin this weekend (probably out next week too). That’s a shame for the squad and TMB soccer board banter.
