Harvey lad running around with the corner flag was one of my favorite parts. Also amazing that macca has won the biggest trophy in all of footie and he's on the bench in tears after winning.
Are they going to restock the lfc store? The only hoodies left are small and medium. Also the selection seems very lacking
Honestly, I am lacking the words to fully describe my weekend in Liverpool. The entire city was buzzing from my arrival Friday morning to the time I left today. We drank way too many pints every day, but it was the only way we could attempt to control the nervous excitement that we were experiencing. Friday night we stuck to the city center and went to a few of the pubs. We all loved the Cavern, which got its fame from the Beatles playing there 292 times, along with every other prominent musician of the past century. It’s as much a history museum as a it is a pub, but all the musicians there were great and beers were fairly cheap. Saturday we decided to walk from the city center to Anfield. It just felt right to go by foot to make our pilgrimage. We made sure to check out most of the murals, pubs, and my family’s stone outside the Shankly gates. The excitement around the stadium was palpable even on Saturday with only workers prepping for match day. All the pub staff we spoke to kept telling us to “expect an absolute shit show tomorrow. Get here early.” We heeded their advice and got down to the stadium area before most of the pubs even opened. It allowed us to get a prime seat in The Albert and watch the crowd build, and boy did it build. They had a musician come to play our songs at around 1:00, and he blew the roof off the place (although thankfully that was figurative since there were loads of people on the actual roof after the match). We left around 2:00 to walk around the grounds a bit and hung out near the players entrance but ultimately went in before the team bus arrived. We made our way into the Kop at 2:30. It was another party atmosphere in there as we neared kickoff. To tell you how packed and insane it was, they ran out of beer at halftime in the Kop. A worker told me she had never seen that happen, and she’s been working there for 60 years! Prematch was great and you’ll never walk alone hit almost as hard as the first time I was there. I didn’t sob like I did last year, but was teary and got to see my two friends cry and experience that was amazing. The match was obviously a banger after we gave up the corner in front of us. The energy in the Kop is unlike anything I have ever been a part of. We were singing and fired up the entire 90. No way we weren’t winning that match with the energy there yesterday. The celebrations were unreal. Stayed in the stands for probably an hour after it ended. Then, walking out of the stadium it was simply SCENES. People were atop gates, the Albert, rooftops of houses…flares everywhere, songs, tears, hugging complete strangers, it was amazing. We stopped at a convenience store and bought beers for the walk back to town (there was no other way to get out of there with all the mayhem, so we made the best of it). The partying continued and we had to pay a last trip to the Cavern, and went to several other pubs that were bouncing well into the night. Truly a trip of a lifetime. We did it. We are the Champions of England and back on our perch.
God damn dude I’m so happy for you they clinched it when you were there. That’s a story for a lifetime
He has to play more minutes than he is going to get if he stays. Slot didn’t play Endo who is currently the much better player. He has two years left on his deal. And we have McConnell. Course we aren’t going to hang a sign around his neck, but come on now.
Harvey, Fred, Wataru, and Jarrell, start getting loose. You're going in. Ryan, you come over here and sit by me.
Haven’t been impressed with and Champs Merch. If anyone sees anything great out there post it. Europeans could really learn from our capitalistic ways when it comes to championship merch. We could afford a TAA replacement for the the funds
Ipswich getting a draw puts United and Everton on 78 points to Liverpool’s 82. Can’t let go of the rope yet.
I think the the though was also cover at the hybrid lcb/lb that andy sucks at if we keep trent Spoiler
One comment under Trent's recent IG post celebrating the league title was "I'll tell my kid the one taking the corner kick was Conor Bradley".
Seems like we’ve been linked to a number of LW/10 guys to replace Diaz (Xavi Simons for insistence) rather than a pure LW, so you’d want a LB to overlap and that ain’t Huijsen. I mean you could play him there in cup games, but I’d rather just start him at CB in those games. I think it is fun that we don’t actually know how Slot wants to set up with players bought to play his system. We do need a fast athletic fucker to replace Nunez.
