Second book in the new series out last week. Enjoying it a lot, especially because... Spoiler Mordred is a POV character. Above isn't really a spoiler if you've read the books, especially since they give it away in the book description.
Reading book one of the Ash and Sand series by Richard Nell. I really like it halfway through. The writing reminds me of Joe Abercrombie. Book 1 is free on kindle if you have prime. https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/35994830-kings-of-paradise
The problem I've walked myself into is that though I enjoy these shorter lighter works still I'm almost exclusively audiobook at this point. Haven't finished a physical book in 4 years (since I ran into the road block of House of Leaves (it actually killed our book club). I still go through dozens of books a year in the audio format though. Now that my brain has been trained for > 2x speed a credit spent on 12 hour audio book only provides about 5 hours of entertainment. Cycle of arwan, though not elite, was good a good 30 hours of entertainment. Cliffs: Huck is cheap. Huck is addicted to rapid audiobook consumption Huck misses downloading entire libraries of audiobooks from piratebay. Needs to get a library card.
